Abstract: A method for performing service authorization for private networks based on an enhanced PLMN identifier. The method includes receiving an attach request from a user equipment device (UE) via a private network, where the attach request includes an international mobile subscriber identity value (IMSI). The method further includes determining, based on the IMSI, an organization identifier and a token associated with the private network, where the token is included in an enhanced PLMN for granting the UE access to resources in the private network. The method further includes sending the token to the UE and a network proxy within the private network.

Abstract: A method may include identifying a network slice to service an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and assigning the identified network slice to the UAV. The method may also include receiving, from a user equipment (UE) device, a message intended for the UAV, transmitting the message to the UAV and receiving, from the UE device, information identifying an error rate associated with the message. The method may further include determining whether the error rate is greater than a threshold error rate and in response to determining that the error rate is greater than the threshold error rate, at least one of modifying a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) associated with transmitting the message to the UAV, or retransmitting the message to the UAV at least one time.

Abstract: Systems and methods allow access stations to save power when no user equipment (UE) devices require service from the access station. The access station may enter a low power-consumption mode (or “sleep mode”) when the access station is inactive. The access station transmits a beacon signal when in the low power-consumption mode to indicate to UE devices in a coverage area of the access station that the access station is in the low power-consumption mode. The access station receives a wake-up signal from a device and, in response, exits the low power-consumption mode.

Abstract: A network device may receive multi-access edge computing (MEC) proximity service information that identifies a set of MEC devices and a set of network services supported by respective MEC devices of the set of MEC devices. The network device may transmit, to a base station, at least a portion of the MEC proximity service information for broadcasting by the base station. The network device may receive, from a user device, a request to establish a peer-to-peer connection with a MEC device for the network service. The network device may authenticate the user device for access to the network service. The network device may transmit, to the user device and the MEC device, connection information that enables the user device and the MEC device to establish the peer-to-peer connection, based on authenticating the user device for access to the network service.

Abstract: A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which a polymorphic algorithm service is provided. The service may coordinate and manage the execution of polymorphic algorithms of various optimization types in a multi-tier network, such as a radio access network or a self-organizing network. The service may coordinate the transition of execution of the polymorphic algorithms among the tiers of the multi-tier network, such that the polymorphic algorithm of a type may be active, for any given node, in a single tier of the multi-tier network. The service may monitor the yield of the optimizations based on various machine learning technologies, polices, and optimization targets. The polymorphic algorithms may operate in different time granularities in correspondence to the tiers of the multi-tier network.

The network device selects, based on the determining, retransmission settings for the communication session and sends the retransmission settings to an access station of a radio access network (RAN).

Abstract: Systems and methods provide a latency certification service. One or more network devices in an application service layer network receive a service request for a latency certification service and instantiate a Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) proxy for a data session between an application server device and a user equipment (UE) device. The one or more network devices obtain a digital certificate for the TCP proxy. The one or more network devices receive, at the TCP proxy, a data packet from the UE device; apply a certified timestamp to the data packet to form a certified timestamped data packet; and forward the certified timestamped data packet to the application server device.

Abstract: A system described herein may provide a technique for the rate-controlled forwarding of traffic to a base station of a radio access network (“RAN”). The rate of the forwarding of the traffic may be based on a latency sensitivity of the traffic, metrics associated with the base station, and an ingress capacity of the base station. The metrics associated with the base station may include congestion and/or load metrics, radio frequency (“RF”) metrics, or other suitable metrics. The latency sensitivity of the traffic may be determined based on a source and/or destination of the traffic, a network slice associated with the traffic, or other suitable traffic attributes. After receiving the rate-controlled traffic, the base station may perform scheduling and/or queueing of the traffic in order to wirelessly provide the traffic to one or more User Equipment (“UEs”).

Abstract: A method and device is disclosed to select a network access link for an application in a user equipment (UE) device to use for communicating with a network. The method may include determining a plurality of network access links associated with the UE device and determining one or more criteria associated with a request to access a network. The criteria may include throughput, financial cost, latency, or signal strength. The method may include determining a score for each of the plurality of network access links with respect to the criteria. The score score may be based on historical data related to the criteria. The method may include comparing the score for each of the plurality of network access links with the criteria and selecting one of the network access links for an application to use to communicate with the network.
