The axial clearance between the inner ring (2) and the cage (4) is greater than the axial clearance which is due to the radial clearance of the track, and the axial clearance which is produced by the radial clearance of the track is 2.5-6.5 times as large as the radial clearance of the track. Further, the center of the outer spherical surface (2b) of the inner ring (2) is shifted to the spread side of the ball tracks (1a, 2a) over the center of the inner spherical surface (4b) of the cage, thereby improving the cross operation.

    摘要: An inner ring is configured to simultaneously ensure the strength thereof and the dimensional accuracy of a female spline portion of a shaft hole thereof in the case where the female spline portion is subjected to heat treatment. Also it is configured to suppress the backlash of spline fit with a shaft. The inner ring is mounted in a constant velocity universal joint for transmitting torque while the inner ring is allowed to be angularly displaced relative to an outer ring and is spline-fitted to a shaft inserted into a shaft hole formed through the inner ring. The inner ring has a hardened layer by means of heat treatment which is formed only in an axial central portion of the shaft hole, but is not formed in remaining inner diameter surface other than the axial central portion.

    摘要: A constant-velocity fixed joint includes an outer joint part with ball raceways and an inner joint part with ball raceways which are separated by webs. A cage, which is disposed between the outer joint part and the inner joint part, has windows for holding balls. The inner joint part can be inserted into the cage only when at least one of its webs engages in a window in the cage. As a result of certain ratios of the raceway angle to the web angle, a high resistance to fracturing at large deflection angles is achieved and a weakening at the functional faces of the inner joint part is avoided. The large angle of wrap around the balls at the ends of the raceways is advantageous for the load bearing capacity of the raceways. Due to its simple form, the cage can be manufactured with a small thickness.

    摘要: Automatic installation of a circlip is facilitated even when an axial length (inner race width) of a protrusion of an inner race is reduced. An inner race (6) is installed in a constant velocity universal joint for transmitting torque while allowing angular displacement between itself and an outer race, with a shaft being inserted in a shaft hole (12) formed in an inner bore to be spline-fitted thereto so as to be prevented from coming off by virtue of the circlip. A two-step chamfer (20) having different chamfer angles is provided at a shaft insertion side end portion of the shaft hole (12). The two-step chamfer (20) includes a first chamfer section (21) situated on a shaft hole opening side and a second chamfer section (22) provided on the side opposite to the shaft hole opening so as to be continuous with the first chamfer section (21).
