Abstract:
Reduced image data of images recorded in a memory card of a digital camera is transmitted from the digital camera to a portable phone. In the portable phone, while viewing the photographs one by one, a print order instruction operation is performed on the desired images. The print order information is transmitted from the portable phone to the digital camera, and the information is recorded as a print order file into the memory card in the digital camera.
Abstract:
An image file is created, such as by scanning a document in a digital sending device. A corresponding text file is created, such as by optical character recognition. Both are stored where they are retrievable through use of URLs. Miniaturized versions of both files are created. A message is created including miniaturized versions of the files and URLs addressing the originals. The message is sent to a wireless web-enabled device user. The message recipient can display the miniaturized versions of files and thus determine whether to view the corresponding full versions using the also enclosed URLs.
Abstract:
A data transmission system where an image providing device and a printer are directly connected by a 1394 serial bus, a command is sent from the image providing device to the printer, then a response to the command is returned from the printer to the image providing device. Image data is sent from the image providing device to the printer based on information included in the response. The printer converts the image data outputted from the image providing device into print data. Thus, printing can be performed without a host computer by directly connecting the image providing device and the printer by the 1394 serial bus or the like.
Abstract:
A scanner which is network connected or locally connected to a printer and outputs a read-out image to the printer as a copying job for carrying out a printing request, and which includes an error display section; an error code acquisition section which acquires a printer model-specific error code set for each model of the printer from the printer, an error code conversion section which converts the error code acquired by the error code acquisition section into error information which can be displayed on the error display section; and a display control section which, on the basis of the error information converted by the error code conversion section, displays an error occurred in the printer on the error display section
Abstract:
At least one image file containing an image to be printed is selected from the image files recorded in a recording medium, for example, HDD by a user. Then a camera and a printer are connected. Responsive to a file information transmission request that requests the transmission of all image files recorded in a media, a digital camera transmits only the file information and the file ID of each of the image files selected by the user to the printer. After authentication, the digital camera transmits the file. ID of each of all the selected image files responsive to a file ID transmission request that requests the transmission of image files to be printed, from the printer.
Abstract:
An imaging system includes an image sensor, a digital image sensing device and a host system. The digital image sensing device provides image data in a plurality of formats, suitable for the differing requirements of different applications running on a host system.
Abstract:
An image processing system in which an image reading apparatus and an image formation apparatus are connected to each other through a communication interface, in which the image reading apparatus includes: a reading section that reads an original and generates image data, a memory that stores the image data, and a mount-processing permission section that, when the image reading apparatus is connected to the image formation apparatus through the communication interface, permits the image formation apparatus to carry out a mount-processing of the memory; the image formation apparatus includes: a mount-processing section that, when the image formation apparatus is connected to the image reading apparatus through the communication interface and permitted to carry out the mount-processing of the memory, carries out the mount-processing of the memory; and the image formation apparatus stores image data received from another communication interface into the memory for which the mount-processing has been carried out.
Abstract:
A printing system including a printing device which has a cancel instruction unit that instructs cancellation of a current job being processed from an operation panel, and an image reading device that describes original image data read from an original in a page description language and sends to the printing device, in which the image reading device describes the read original image data in the page description language and sends it as a copy job to the printing device, obtains a job holding state from the printing device and reserves at least the transmission of the copy job to the printing device until the job held by the printing device runs out when it is judged according to the obtained job holding information that the printing device is in a job holding state.
Abstract:
An embodiment of the present invention includes a fax communication system for communicating fax information between a first fax machine having error correction capability and a second fax machine. The first and second fax machines are coupled to communicate with one another across a packet switching network. A network device is coupled to received fax information from the first fax machine and accumulates a portion of the fax information and stalls the second fax machine while accumulating the fax information portion until the latter is transmitted to the second fax machine free of errors across the packet switching network. Accordingly, information traffic across the packet switching network is decreased thereby avoiding a network avalanche effect.
Abstract:
An image data communication apparatus is connected to an image data source and to a network, and transmits image data attached to an e-mail to a receiving apparatus via the network. The e-mail including a mail from command and a mail message. The image data communication apparatus comprises a memory which stores a default information and a default mail address, and a panel section which inputs information regarding an identification of a user and a mail address of a user to the image data communication apparatus. The image data communication apparatus comprises a controller which sets the default information and the default mail address into the mail message of the e-mail to which the image data is attached when the information regarding the identification of the user and the mail address of the user are not input by the panel section, and sets the information regarding the identification of the user and the mail address of the user input by the panel section into the mail message of the e-mail to which the image data is attached when the information regarding the identification of the user and the mail address of the user are input by the panel section.
