    摘要: A sensor unit includes a pressure sensor, an acceleration sensor and a signal-processing circuit, which are disposed on the bottom surface of a lead to form a line in the longitudinal direction of the sensor unit. The pressure sensor and the acceleration sensor are disposed at respective symmetrical positions with respect to the center of the signal-processing circuit in the longitudinal direction of the sensor unit. Each of the pressure sensor and the acceleration sensor has substantially the same height dimension. The sensors, the signal-processing circuit and the lead are sealed with a molded body, in such a manner as to allow lead terminals of the lead to protrude outside the molded body. The signal-processing circuit is operable, based on a signal from the acceleration sensor, to control the ON/OFF action of the pressure sensor.

    摘要: A release control sensor module for an openable member of a vehicle, such as a vehicle window, includes a first sensor and a second sensor. The first sensor is a displacement sensor that controls the closure of an electric circuit, such as a changeover switch or a reed switch. The second sensor is powered by the electric circuit. The first sensor controls the activation of the electronic circuit. If the first sensor is not actuated, the sensor module is electrically isolated and does not consume any power. If the first sensor is actuated, the second sensor is powered and can be used to detect movement of a moving part of the control, such as a pull handle or an opening lever.

    摘要: RF modulation spectroscopy of a near-infrared tunable laser diode source is used to determine the oxygen concentration in a sample medium. A reference cell containing a known concentration of oxygen is used to calibrate the apparatus as well as to lock the laser on an oxygen absorption line. The temperature of the reference cell is monitored from which the pressure in the reference cell can be determined. Both the temperature and the pressure in the sample cell are monitored, either directly using independent transducers or indirectly using spectroscopic techniques. The oxygen content of the sample is determined, correcting for both temperature and pressure effects.

    摘要: A distance-velocity predicting system has an illuminator for projecting a light beam for searching for an obstacle, and a plurality of position sensors spaced at a distance corresponding to a base line length. A minimum value of a distance component from the base line to an obstacle lying in a direction perpendicular to the base line, which is obtained from the light beam and the position sensors, or a value in the neighborhood of the minimum value, is sampled to obtain time-series data, and a relative velocity component in a direction perpendicular to the base line with respect to the obstacle is obtained in real time by using the time-series data. The relative velocity component perpendicular to the base line is compared with a predetermined threshold value, and when the relative velocity component exceeds the threshold value, a starting signal for life protecting equipment is generated.
