Abstract: A computer-implemented method for application data switching comprises receiving, by one or more processors of a computer, an application data packet received from an application running on the computer; determining, by the one or more processors and from the application data packet, an Ethernet destination of the application data packet; based on the determined Ethernet destination, identifying, by the one or more processors, a destination on a wireless personal area network (WPAN); accessing, by the one or more processors, a payload of the application data packet; creating, by the one or more processors, a WPAN data packet that includes the identified destination on the WPAN and at least a portion of the payload from the application data packet; and transmitting, by the one or more processors, the WPAN data packet to the identified destination on the WPAN via a WPAN interface.

Abstract: Technology providing seamless mobility to mobile processing devices in an Information Centric Network (ICN) is provided. A first point of attachment (PoA) is configured to communicate with a first processing device identified by a device ID and receive content objects addressed to the first processing device. The first PoA is further configured to determine that the first processing device is no longer communicating with the first PoA and moving to a second PoA, and generate a forwarding label identifying the second PoA and the device ID. The first PoA is further configured to append the forwarding label to any content object addressed to the first processing device and not forwarded by the first PoA to the first processing device before it moves, and forward each such content object to the second PoA.

Abstract: Various embodiments include devices and methods structured to provide an intelligent event processing offload, which can facilitate an efficient, geo-distributed tiered scalable event streaming and processing interconnect through an embedded adapter interconnect. Event streams received in a data handler from one or more networks can be separated into partitions. The loading of the event streams into the partitions can be tracked to balance the loading by controlling the number of partitions used. Packets of each partition can be sent to a respective reactive router that resides in a controlling application for further processing. Additional devices, systems, and methods can be implemented in a variety of applications.

Abstract: A method is provided to establish a path in an optical domain to couple first and second IP routing domains for use by a VPN. A network controller (NC) receives an optical path setup command and, in response, determines an optical path ID identifying an optical path. The NC sends a mapping command to a domain controller (DC) associated with the first IP routing domain and receives routing information that includes a VPN label. The NC sends a forwarding command including the routing information to a DC associated with the second IP routing domain, the forwarding command configured to cause a termination point in the second IP routing domain to forward a packet to the optical path when the packet comprises elements of the routing information.

Abstract: System and method embodiments for image coding are disclosed. In an embodiment, a method in a data processing system for image encoding includes determining a sparsity constraint according to a dimension of an input image signal. The method also includes iteratively determining a plurality of approximations to the input image signal. Each iteration provides an approximation of the input image signal. Each approximation includes a set of dictionary element indices and coefficients. The dictionary is an over-complete dictionary. Iterations of the determining step are terminated when a number of iterations is equal to the sparsity constraint. The method also includes selecting one of the plurality of approximations according to a minimum rate-distortion cost. The method also includes determining an encoded image signal according to non-zero coefficients and corresponding indices for each non-zero coefficient in the selected approximation.

Abstract: Embodiments are provided herein for low loss coupling capacitor structures. The embodiments include a n-type varactor (NVAR) configuration and p-type varactor (PVAR) configuration. The structure in the NVAR configuration comprises a p-doped semiconductor substrate (Psub), a deep n-doped semiconductor well (DNW) in the Psub, and a p-doped semiconductor well (P well) in the DNW. The circuit structure further comprises a source terminal of a p-doped semiconductor material within P well, and a drain terminal of the p-doped semiconductor material within the P well. Additionally, the circuit structure comprises an insulated gate on the surface of the P well, a metal pattern comprising a plurality of layers of metal lines, and a plurality of vias through the metal lines. The vias are contacts connecting the metal lines to the gate, the source terminal, and the drain terminal.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to technology for a receiver having a receive signal path including a mixer, a differential fixed gain or variable gain amplifier, and a differential filter. The mixer is configured to receive an RF signal, receive an oscillator signal, and output a differential down converted signal at one of a baseband or intermediate frequency (IF). The amplifier is downstream of the mixer and configured to receive the differential down converted signal from the mixer, apply a gain thereto, and output an amplified differential signal. The filter is downstream of the amplifier and configured filter the amplified differential signal received from the amplifier, and output a filtered differential signal. By locating the differential filter downstream of the differential amplifier within the receive signal path, distortion caused by the mixer is mitigated compared to if the filter were located upstream of the filter.

A method implemented by a UE comprises: wirelessly communicating with a source node; performing a handover from the source node to a target node using L2 signaling and in response to a handover decision; and wirelessly communicating with the target node in response to the handover.
