    Abstract: In a design method of torsion bars used for a trunk lid, free shapes of the torsion bars unhitched from the trunk lid are designed. A center line model of the initial free shape is geometrically and statically created on the basis of a design specification. The center line model of an open shape is created from the free shape model and is deformed into a center line model of a closed modified shape. The center line models of the analyzed closed shape and the target closed shape is compared with each other to obtain a difference torque and a difference vector occurring between corresponding nodes on the center lines. The center line model is so changed as to decrease the difference torque and the difference vector.

    Abstract: A suspension includes a load beam and a flexure. The flexure has a metal base and a conductive circuit portion. The conductive circuit portion has an insulating layer formed on the metal base, and a conductor formed on the insulating layer. The conductive circuit portion includes a first region which constitutes a part of the conductive circuit portion in the longitudinal direction, and a second region which constitutes another part of the same in the longitudinal direction. The conductor includes a thin conductor portion having a first thickness arranged in the first region, and a thick conductor portion having a second thickness arranged in the second region. The second thickness is greater than the first thickness.

    Abstract: According to one embodiment, a shift actuator includes a main body section and a shaft section. The main body section has an electric motor which has a vertically extending rotating shaft, and a gear mechanism which rotates the shaft section in accordance with the rotating shaft. The shaft section has a threaded shaft extending parallel to the rotating shaft and made to rotate by the gear mechanism in accordance with the rotating shaft and a movable nut which is screwed onto the threaded shaft and moves upward or downward with rotation of the threaded shaft. The movable nut is connected with a shift member which changes the gears of a propeller shaft.

    Abstract: A vehicle seat includes: a seatback frame of a resin-formed seatback, including a plate-shaped back face panel portion; a headrest; a seatback pad; a lattice-shaped spring member formed from wire arranged in a lattice shape, attached to the seatback frame at a front side of the back face panel portion, and that resiliently supports the seatback pad from a rear side, with a space formed between the back face panel portion and the lattice-shaped spring member; and a load transmission section provided at one of the lattice-shaped spring member or the back face panel portion and disposed inside the space so as to project out toward the side of the other one of the lattice-shaped spring member or the back face panel portion, such that a gap is formed between the load transmission section and the other one of the lattice-shaped spring member or the back face panel portion.
