A communication device may monitor a wakeup signal monitoring occasion in an inactive duration of a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle. The communication device may transmit, in a first active duration of the DRX cycle, a channel state information (CSI) report on one or more resources based on monitoring the wakeup signal monitoring occasion. In some examples, the communication device may transmit an indication that the communication device requests reporting of the CSI report in the first active duration of the DRX cycle. Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for maintaining, between a user equipment (UE) and a component of a base station (BS), a mutual understanding of a set of linked physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidates if the UE selects to monitor a subset of the linked PDCCH candidates. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may identify time and frequency resources for a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) to be transmitted to a user equipment (UE) in a first transmission time interval (TTI). The base station may transmit configuration information for a control channel search space set in a second TTI. The second TTI may precede the first TTI. The configuration information may include an indication of an absence of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) transmission to send in the control channel search space set indicating the identified time and frequency resources for the PDSCH, and a set of time and frequency resources for the control channel search space set. The UE may receive the configuration information and identify the time and frequency resources allocated for the PDSCH in the second TTI, and receive the PDSCH transmission in the second TTI.

Abstract: Systems and methods for discontinuous reception (DRX) adaptation in a wireless communication system are provided. A network entity may configure a user equipment (UE) with a long DRX cycle. Under certain conditions, additional short DRX cycles may be activated by the network entity so that data may be transferred before the next DRX active time. Multiple aspects are described wherein short DRX cycle parameters are communicated explicitly or implicitly to the UE. Short DRX cycle parameters may be included and/or indicated by bits in a downlink control information (DCI) or a Medium Access Control (MAC) Control Element (CE) command received by the UE during the long DRX active time.
