Abstract: This invention makes it possible to provide a charged-particle beam exposure apparatus which implements highly accurate pattern drawing by detecting the intensity distribution of irradiation charged-particle beams and controlling the distribution to be uniform. The charged-particle beam exposure apparatus splits a charged-particle beam irradiated from a charged-particle beam source into a plurality of charged-particle beams by a plurality of apertures formed in an aperture array (3a). The charged-particle beam exposure apparatus includes a detection unit which detects the intensity of the charged-particle beam passing through the aperture formed in the aperture array (3a), and a grid array which adjusts the intensity of the charged-particle beam on the basis of the detection result obtained by the detection unit. The charged-particle beam exposure apparatus makes the intensity distribution of the charged-particle beams which reach a wafer (5) through the plurality of apertures uniform.

Abstract: The present invention is to provide a method and an apparatus for mounting components having a feature of detecting with high accuracy component pick up failure by the nozzle at component pick up stage, and/or component carrying back by the nozzle at component mounting stage. Achieved vacuum pressure is initialized to zero after completion of component pick up by the nozzle 25, and vacuum pressure decrease of the nozzle 25 is detected from the initialized zero point. If the detected value is bigger than the predetermined threshold, it may be judged that at least one of the nozzles failed to pick up a component. The failed nozzle may be identified by using a component recognition device 37. Blowing air blow volume flowing through the nozzle 25 is measured upon completion of component mounting. If the blowing air flow is smaller that the predetermined threshold, it is judged that the nozzle 25 carries back a component 30. Two thresholds may be used, and it may be judged that the component has been properly mounted if the measurement value is bigger than both thresholds, filter 22 is clogged if the measurement value is in between the two thresholds, and the nozzle 25 carries back the component if the measurement value is smaller than both thresholds.

Abstract: During a still picture display period, a normal write voltage is sometimes unable to be applied to a liquid crystal layer 16 because two memory switch elements 21 and 22 are simultaneously turned on, and the output and the inverted output from the digital memory 18 are applied simultaneously to a pixel electrode 13. According to the present invention, the pulse width for the on period of one of the memory switch elements 21 and 22 is narrower than the pulse width for the off period of the other memory switch element, so that the on periods of the two memory switch elements 21 and 22 do not overlap. In this manner, the memory switch elements 21 and 22 are prevented from being turned on at the same time.

Abstract: When a margin paper constituting a margin between pictured formed sheets, on which pictures have been formed, is cut by a cutter, it is received in a casing. The number of times, in which cutting means cuts a number of sheets to avoid overflowing of the margin paper received in the casing, is beforehand set as a set value, and the number of times, in which the cutter cuts a roll paper, is counted. When a count value reaches the set value, a control unit turns the casing so that an upper opening of the casing is directed downward, and causes the margin paper in the casing to be ejected. When a predetermined period of time has elapsed, the casing is again turned to be returned to an original state. The number of times as counted is reset and counting is again performed.

Abstract: A printer has a printer body, a carriage for undergoing scanning movement over a print paper in a scanning direction, and a cassette removably connected to the printer body for storing print paper and having a code element indicative of photosensitive characteristics of the print paper. The print paper contains photosensitive microcapsules encapsulating a color developing material and a photo-curing material and has an image receiving layer for developing color by a reaction of the color developing material with the image receiving layer. The carriage has a light emitting element for emitting light of a preselected wavelength to which the photosensitive microcapsules are exposed to thereby form a latent image on the print paper. A photosensitive characteristics identifying mechanism is disposed on the carriage for reading the code element of the cassette to identify the photosensitive characteristics of the print paper. A light emission controller controls the intensity or the time period of emission of the light emitted by the light emitting element in accordance with the photosensitive characteristics of the print paper identified by the photosensitive characteristics identifying mechanism. A pressurizing mechanism applies mechanical pressure to the print paper after a latent image has been formed thereon to collapse the photosensitive microcapsules which were not exposed to the light emitted by the light emitting element and thereby develop the latent image by reaction of the color developing material in the photosensitive microcapsules with the image receiving layer.
