摘要: A thermal type air flow measuring instrument is mounted to a main passage forming an intake air passage of an internal combustion engine and is provided. with an auxiliary passage which includes a heating resistor and a temperature sensing resistor therein and an electronic circuit which is electrically connected to the heating resistor and the temperature sensing resistor. The auxiliary passage is a passage including at least one bent portion composed of a first path substantially parallel to the main passage and a second path having a path different in flow direction from the first path. A member forming the auxiliary passage is fixed in a united form to only a case member for interiorly protecting the electronic circuit, and the case member is fixed to the outer wall surface of the intake air passage. The auxiliary passage structure capable of being handled as a single module united to the case member is effective to the mass production of an air flow control system and the reduction in cost thereof since the structure can be mounted to different kinds of internal combustion engines.

摘要: A system in which a plurality of network nodes are connected through a network, wherein when a computation object of a first network node calls a function (facility) of a computation object of a second network node, the first network node obtains a facility identification codes (numeral) of the object and the function from a remote reference table and outputs the facility identification codes through the network as a message together with the arguments of the function to the second network node. The second network node uses the input facility identification code as a key to obtain the execution address of the facility from a local reference table and executes that facility.

摘要: An improved apparatus for detecting anions in water includes an electrical continuous ion-exchange unit comprising an anode compartment and a cathode compartment which are spaced apart by an alkali removing compartment packed with a cation exchanger defined by two cation-exchange membranes. Each of the said anode compartment, cathode compartment and alkali removing compartment is provided with a passageway through which water is admitted and a passageway through which the treated water is discharged. The passageway through which the treated water is discharged from the alkali removing compartment is equipped with an instrument for measuring the specific resistance or electrical conductivity of the treated water. The alkali removing compartment may be replaced by one or more cation-exchange membranes or a treatment compartment defined by two or more cation-exchange membranes, and the passageway through which the treated water is discharged from the anode compartment is equipped with an instrument for measuring the specific resistance or electrical conductivity of the treated water. The apparatus does not require replacement of ion-exchange resins, achieves correct measurements with a simple operation and yet functions as an inexpensive salt detector.

摘要: The present invention provides a simple and efficient means for dissolving carbon dioxide gas discharged from sources such as thermoelectric power plants into the seawater and for isolating it at deep sea level. The means comprises an inverted U-shaped gas lift 1 having a shorter gas lift dissolving pipe 2 and a longer descending pipe 3 being connected with each other at the top, said gas lift dissolving pipe 2 is held at shallow sea level, and the lower end of the descending pipe 3 is opened at deep sea level. When carbon dioxide gas is injected in from the lower end of the gas lift dissolving pipe 2, the seawater is introduced from the lower end of the dissolving pipe by gas lift action of the carbon dioxide gas in the dissolving pipe 2, and the carbon dioxide is completely dissolved into the seawater until it reaches the upper end of the dissolving pipe. With its density increased due to dissolving of the carbon dioxide, the seawater is moved down by gravity to deep sea level through the descending pipe 3 and carbon dioxide is isolated at deep sea level.

摘要: A beam shifting device for directing a beam toward a fixed point of an object has instance vertical and horizontal beam shift elements, such as transparent optical plates with parallel surfaces positioned in an intended optical path. The vertical beam shift parallel plate is able to turn about a horizontal axis perpendicular to the optical axis for vertically shifting the beam upward and downward. The horizontal beam shift parallel plate, positioned in parallel with the vertical beam shift parallel plate, is able to turn about a vertical axis perpendicular to the optical axis for horizontally shifting the beam left and right. A controller detects vertical and horizontal deviations of the beam based on a distribution pattern of relative luminous energy of the beam diverged onto a spatial plane perpendicular to the intended path and drives the vertical and horizontal beam shift parallel plates to cancel the vertical and horizontal deviations of the beam, respectively.
