The invention relates to a furniture hinge comprising a stop element and a hinge cup which is pivotally connected to said stop element by means of an articulated lever, a damper being arranged in a housing, said housing being connected to the hinge cup by means of securing means, and a spring being functionally connected to the hinge cup and the stop element or the articulated lever. According to the invention, the housing comprises a spring seat by means of which said spring is secured to the housing. This achieves a damped, compact furniture hinge which has a spring to support at least the closing action, and which is easy to mount.

An automatic open-close device for use with a fitting, the device may include a rack secured to the fitting; a pinion structured to mesh with the rack; a turn-driving mechanism structured to drive the pinion to turn; and a holding member structured to rotatably hold the pinion. The holding member may be movable between a meshing position in which the rack and the pinion are engaged and a disengaging position in which the rack and the pinion are disengaged. The rack and the pinion may be configured such that, when the holding member is in the meshing position and the driving mechanism drives the pinion to turn, the fitting opens and closes.

The invention relates to a retracting device for a leaf of a door or a window, comprising a housing, a piston which is arranged in a receiving area of the housing and which is urged by a spring, and a shaft which is mounted in the housing and which interacts with the piston, an actuating arm for the leaf being arranged on the shaft in a non-rotatable manner. At least one first driving element is arranged on the shaft, the head surface of said driving element forming a freewheel device with a freewheel region, wherein an arrangement of the piston or a tooth of a toothing of the piston slides on the freewheeling region so as to decouple the shaft from the piston.

A release mechanism for selectively connecting and disconnecting a sliding power window from a movable drive block includes a release knob and a release bracket coupled with the release knob by a cable or rod. The release bracket is pivotable between a locked position and a released position by displacement of the release knob. The release bracket includes a drive block pin engageable with the movable drive block and a locking block pin engageable with a fixed locking block. The mechanism allows a boat operator to operate a sliding roof/window manually in case of power failure or the like. The mechanism enables the window to be locked in the opened or closed position, and no tools are required to release the drive or to position/lock the sliding roof/window.

A direction switchable ratchet device for a door operator is provided. The door operator includes an electric motor, an electromagnetic brake and the direction switchable ratchet device. The direction switchable ratchet device comprises a first and second direction restricting devices and a manually operable mechanism. A drive shaft of the electric motor is braked by a brake baffle disk when the electric motor is electrically de-energized and is released when the electric motor is electrically energized. The first and second direction restricting devices are provided to prevent the drive shaft from being rotated clockwise and counter-clockwise respectively by holding the brake baffle disk. In the event of power failure, the manually operable mechanism is effective to open the door once a pawl of the direction restricting device at the free side is retracted. The manually operable mechanism of the door operator is prevented from being incorrectly mounted in a cost-effective manner.

The invention relates to a joint, in which a first joint part and a second joint part are connected so as to be pivotable relative to one another, having a drive device, in particular a spring drive, for assisting or effecting the pivoting movement. The joint is characterized in that the drive device is selectively activatable or deactivatable and/or in that the assistance force of the drive device is adjustable. The invention also relates in particular to a food comminution device having a joint of said type.

When the hinge cup, which is pivotally connected to the hinge arm, is being closed relative thereto, the spring provides a resilient closing force to complete the closing action. The retainer is mounted in the hinge cup and has a channel. The damper is mounted in the channel and corresponds to the hinge arm to provide a damping force adjustable via the adjusting member, which is movably mounted to the retainer, includes a surface and at least two contact portions differently spaced from the surface, and can be adjusted relative to the retainer so that one of the contact portions corresponds to the damper.

A door closer is provided to automatically pull a storm or screen door to a fully closed position without user action. The door closer includes a bracket housing with a cam switch movable along a track as the door opens and closes. The closer cylinder rod is engaged with the cam switch until the door is fully opened. The cam switch biases the closer cylinder and rod as the door approaches the closed position.

The invention relates to a drive device (20) for entrance and exit devices for public transportation vehicles, comprising a drive unit (22) that is arranged in and drives a rotary column (24) rotating about a rotational axis Z-Z during opening and closing operations, said column opening and closing the entrance and exit device. The drive unit (22) is held on the vehicle via a retaining component (40). The retaining component (40) acts as counter bearing for a torque of the drive unit (22). Between the drive unit (22) and the retaining component (40), a coupling device (72) is arranged, which enables a rotation of the drive unit (22) about the rotational axis Z-Z when a threshold value of the torque acting upon the drive unit is exceeded. Between the coupling device (72) and the retaining component (40), a bearing is provided, which enables a tumbling motion of the rotary column (24) with the coupling device (72) and prevents a rotation about the rotational axis Z-Z.
