Abstract: The invention is systems and methods of operating a window with an automated window mechanism. The systems and methods include moving with the automated window mechanism a sliding panel of a window relative to a window frame to open or close the window. The sliding panel moves through a proximate closing zone. The method also includes in the proximate closing zone, operating the automated window mechanism in a limited state comprising at least one of reduced velocity, reduced current to the automated window mechanism, or reduced voltage to the automated window mechanism.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method at a control device (100) for controlling an overhead door operator system, the overhead door operator system (1) being configured for opening and closing an opening (2), and comprising a door frame (3) comprising a first frame section (4) at a first side (7) of the opening (2) and a second frame section (6) at a second side (5) of the opening (2). The operator system further comprises a door (8) arranged to be moved between an open and closed (C) position, the door (8) being movably connected to the door frame (3) and a drive unit (10) mounted on the door (8), the drive unit (10) comprising at least one motor (11) arranged to move the door (8) from the closed position (C) to the open position (O). An elongated transmission member (19) extends along the first side (7) of the opening (2) and the first frame section (4). The drive unit (10) further comprises a driven transmission member (18) in driving connection with the motor (11). The method comprises the steps of: detecting door movement; determining if detected door movement relates to unexpected door movement; and, if so, taking action so as to prevent more extensive damages. The disclosure further relates to an overhead door operator system for opening and closing an opening.

Abstract: A door device with a locking mechanism includes an operation member that is operated to unlock a door body. When a power supply for a railroad car is normal, it is determined whether the door body is allowed to be opened by operating the operation member. The door body is unlocked only when it is determined that opening of the door body is allowed. Whereas when the power supply for the railroad car is in an abnormal state, the door body is unlocked by the locking mechanism by operating the operation member.

Abstract: A system and method of use relating to a hidden motorized system for use in windows that can reliability and consistently open and close the window via remote operation. Specifically, a motorized system is disposed inside a window in a manner without requiring unsightly modifications to the window. The motorized system can be controlled via wireless remote or wired remote switch. The entire system fits within a conventional window, such as a single or double hung window, in a manner that is hidden from view, thereby keeping the conventional ornamental look of the window.

Abstract: A closing device includes an actuator mechanism and a hydraulic damper mechanism. The actuator mechanism includes a pushrod urged by a resilient member towards its extended position. The hydraulic damper mechanism includes a piston, a first rack and pinion gearing for converting the translational motion of the pushrod into a rotational motion of a first pinion, a transmission, which includes a second rack and pinion gearing, between the first pinion and the piston for transmitting and converting the rotational motion of the first pinion into a translational motion of the piston, a one-way valve allowing fluid flow from a first side to a second side of the cylinder cavity when opening the hinged member, and a restricted fluid passage between the first and second sides of the cylinder cavity. The transmission provides together with the pinions of the first and second rack and pinion gearings a reduction gearing between the pushrod and the piston so that the piston reciprocates over a smaller distance than the pushrod.
