Abstract:
A dual-injection molding article (10) includes a first molding portion (20), a second molding portion (30) and a groove (40). The first molding portion has a hole (213) defined therein, and an inside surface (214) surrounding the hole. The second molding portion includes a base plate (31) and a protruding portion (33). The base plate is integrally formed on the first molding portion. The protruding portion is inserted inside the hole. The groove is defined between a peripheral sidewall of the protruding portion and the inside surface of the first molding portion. A method for making the dual-injection molding member is also provided.
Abstract:
A global and local statistics controlled noise reduction system in which the video image noise reduction processing is effectively adaptive to both image local structure and global noise level. A noise estimation method provides reliable global noise statistics to the noise reduction system. The noise reduction system dynamically/adaptively configures a local filter for processing each image pixel, and processes the pixel with that local filter. The filtering process of the noise reduction system is controlled by both global and local image statistics that are also computed by the system.
Abstract:
A structure for a high diffuse efficiency and water-proof lighting device is provided, including a light tube and a base holder. The light tube and the base holder are each an enclosed structure. The light tube includes a circuit substrate inside the enclosed structure. The circuit substrate includes a plurality of LEDs. The light tube and the base holder each include two holes close to both ends. When the light tube and the base holder are assembled, the holes match so that the wire connecting the circuit substrate can go through the holes to enter the base holder. A water-proof and highly pull-resistant glue is used to fill the overlapping of the holes. A resilient element is used to connect the neighboring circuit substrates, the resilient element can absorb the deformation caused by the temperature changes so that the light diffusion remains uniform. Therefore, the lighting device can perform well even when operating in an environment with drastic temperature changes.
Abstract:
A grid detector detects the existence and the location of grids in DCT compressed videos. When a grid is detected in the input video, a post-processor is turned on and the de-blocking processing is applied on the grid detected by the grid detector. When no grid is detected, indicating that the input video is either an uncompressed video or an already de-blocked video, post-processing turned off to avoid degrading the picture quality. To detect grids, the grid detector: (a) computes horizontal and vertical second derivatives for all pixels of the image; (b) generates horizontal second derivative zero-crossing mask and vertical second derivative zero-crossing mask by marking the those pixels whose second derivatives have opposite signs with respect to their horizontal or vertical neighboring pixels'; (c) applies horizontal and vertical integral projections to the horizontal and vertical zero-crossing masks respectively; (d) generates the local maximum masks by locating the local maximum of the two projected 1-D signals; and (e) determines grid location by computing the positions of the local maximum masks.
Abstract:
A video quality adaptive coding artifact reduction system has a video quality analyzer, an artifact reducer, and a filter strength controller. The video quality analyzer employs input video quality analysis to control artifact reduction. The video quality analyzer accesses the video quality of the decoded video sequence to estimate the input video quality. The filter strength controller globally controls the filter strength of the artifact reducer based on the video quality estimate by the video quality analyzer. For low quality input video, the filter strength controller increases the artifact reduction filter strength to more efficiently reduce the artifact. For high quality input video, the filter strength controller decreases the artifact reduction filter strength to avoid blurring image detail.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing antibacterial polyester master batches and fibers containing nano-silver particles, the method includes the acts of: mixing a reducing agent, glycol and a silver precursor together to compose a first mixture; esterifying terephthalic acid and glycol to compose a second mixture containing block polymers; mixing the first and second mixtures to make the block polymers further polymerize to achieve a polyester liquid containing nano-silver particles; optionally, cooling the polyester liquid to solidify; and selectively, granulating the solidified polyester to obtain a polyester master batches or melting spinning the polyester to obtain polyester fibers. By reducing the silver ions during polymerizing reaction, the reduced silver particles are separated by polymerized polyester molecules so that the silver particles are evenly distributed inside the polyester master batches without coagulation.
Abstract:
An exhaust apparatus for evacuating vapor during baking of liquid chemicals deposited on substrates including a heating chamber containing a hot plate for horizontally supporting and heating a substrate. A cover plate is suspended horizontally over the hot plate; the cover plate has a plurality of exhaust ports extending from the top to its bottom surfaces. The ports are radially and evenly disposed midway between the periphery and a centered port with a manifold mounted to the top of the cover plate. The manifold has tubular conduits connected underneath to each exhaust port. Each conduit has an adjustable damper disposed at its front opening for regulating the vapor being exhausted. The tubular conduits converge from each exhaust port towards a common enclosure with an exhaust pipe coupled to its top for exhausting vapor to an external recovery facility.
Abstract:
A compressed stainless steel burner comprises top plate, bottom plate and dividers inside of it. Two stainless steel plates have saw-teeth on both sides of each plate and the saw-teeth of the top plate are folded to wrap the saw-teeth of the bottom plate after compressing to form a burner. A venturi shape tube at the entrance of the burner facilitates the air entering the burner and mixed with the injected gas. Inside of the burner there are two dividers with several erect panels on it to divert the mixed gas to both side of the burner.
Abstract:
A die-casting Zn—Al alloy fitting with four connectors is invented to simplify the assembly of a stainless steel BBQ grill trolley. Four connectors of the fitting connect two rectangular tubes vertically and two rectangular tubes horizontally. Eight fittings are required to assemble a BBQ grill trolley. Two channels are formed on two larger side surfaces of each connector with a compressible plastic plate inserted to eliminate the clearance between the fitting and connected rectangular stainless steel tubes.
Abstract:
A system and method for providing access to a unified message store logically storing computer telephony messages is disclosed. A multiplicity of heterogeneous storage objects corresponding to computer telephony messages are stored in a unified message store. An application software layer exchanging the heterogeneous storage objects with a computer telephony server is exported. The computer telephony server is interfaced via a container subsystem defining encapsulated methods including organization strategy methods and storage strategy methods. A unified inbox generating an indicator for at least one of the computer telephony messages is provided. The unified inbox exports user controls for accessing the corresponding heterogeneous storage objects stored in the unified message store.
