    Abstract: A system, method, and computer readable medium provide for determining a current size of an antenna array at a full-dimension multiple input multiple output (FD-MIMO) antenna site comprising multiple antenna base blocks, each antenna base block including multiple antennas, and the current size of the antenna array corresponding to a number of the antennas that are in active use; obtain a report of a current traffic demand for a geographic coverage area, the current traffic demand being based on a capacity and a service reliability associated with mobile devices in the geographic coverage area; determine a number of the antennas to place in active use based on the current traffic demand and the current size of the antenna array; and send a control signal to place the number of antennas in active use.

    Abstract: A computer device may include a memory storing instructions and a processor configured to execute the instructions to select a broadcast method for a wakeup signal for a wireless communication device; instruct a base station to broadcast the wakeup signal using the selected broadcast method; and provide information identifying the selected broadcast method to the wireless communication device. The processor may be further configured to receiving a wakeup request from a machine-type communication interworking function (MTC-IWF) device; map the received wakeup request to a wakeup signature beacon signal associated with the wireless communication device; and instruct the base station to transmit a wakeup signature beacon signal to the wireless communication device based on the received wakeup request.

    Abstract: In some implementations, a device may partition a coverage area associated with a network to form one or more geographic sectors, and may determine a pathloss value for each frequency band of multiple frequency bands and a spatial distribution between cells, within the geographic sector, for each frequency band. The device may determine a degree of contiguous coverage for each frequency band within the geographic sector based on the pathloss value and the spatial distribution between cells for that frequency band, and may determine, based on the degree of contiguous coverage for each frequency band, a specific frequency band, of the multiple frequency bands, to be used as a primary carrier for carrier aggregation in the geographic sector. The device may output information that identifies a carrier aggregation profile that indicates the specific frequency band to be used as the primary carrier for carrier aggregation in the geographic sector.

The computer device may be further configured to adjust the optimization parameter for the base station based on the determined adjustment, wherein adjusted optimization parameter is used by the base station to manage data traffic associated with the plurality of UE devices.

    Abstract: A network device receives, from a network management system (NMS), a first traffic distribution associated with the FD-MIMO antenna site, and receives a first service reliability requirement associated with the FD-MIMO antenna site. The network device determines, based on physical constraints, a maximum number of a plurality of antenna base blocks that can be placed at a full-dimension multiple input multiple output (FD-MIMO) antenna site, wherein each of the plurality of antenna base blocks includes a plurality of antennas. The network device further determines a first number of antennas to switch into the FD-MIMO antenna site based on the determined maximum number of the plurality of antenna base blocks, the first traffic distribution, and the first service reliability requirement; and causes the first number of antennas to be switched into the FD-MIMO antenna site.

The processor may be further configured to execute the instructions to classify the obtained one or more metric values based on the determined usage categories; select one or more optimization actions for the selected base station based on the classified one or more metric values; and instruct the selected base station to perform the selected one or more optimization actions.
