Abstract:
The invention relates to a Dental examination or treatment tool. the tool comprises at least one lumen in which at least one imaging catheter is or can be accommodated for recording image data of an examination or treatment area.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for monitoring the movement of at least one mobile object with a medical installation. A current three-dimensional position of the at least one mobile object is detected by at least one position sensor that is arranged on the at least one mobile object. The invention also relates to the associated medical installation.
Abstract:
A medical treatment suite and method of use is described, having a projection X-ray apparatus mounted to a robot. The robot positions the projection X-ray apparatus with respect to a patient and data is taken in a form that is suitable for synthesizing computed tomographic images. The patient may be supported by a patient support apparatus, which may be mounted to another robot, which cooperates with the other robot so as to position the patient according to a selected treatment protocol. Each of the robots may be mounted to one of a floor, a ceiling or a wall of the room.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a medical investigation and/or treatment system comprising: a catheter system, comprising a catheter (1, 7, 9), with a first sensor (4, 11) of an imaging system for optical coherence tomography with an optical fiber via which the light is directed and is radiated in the area of a catheter tip introduced into an area to be investigated, via which fiber reflection light is directed from an illuminated investigation area to a first image processing unit (22), a second sensor (3, 8, 10) of an intravascular ultrasound imaging system to transmit and receive sound pulses which are fed as an electrical signal to a second image processing unit (23), und at least one display unit (24) for presenting the images of the first and second image processing unit (22, 23).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and a system for identification of a medical implant that is inserted into a patient. Identification data of the medical implant is stored in an RFID chip. The RFID chip is inserted into the body of the patient. The RFID chip can be inserted into a different location than the medical implant into the body of the patient or can be arranged on the medical implant. A signal from the RFID chip comprising the identification data of the medical implant is called up by a reading unit.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for performing a cutting-balloon intervention that includes a cutting-balloon catheter with an expandable balloon having axially arranged knives, with the cutting-balloon catheter having a pre-mounted stent.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for taking high energy images, in particular, X-ray images, comprising an input image by means of which data for a medical auxiliary may be inputted into the device. Said medical auxiliaries are preferably stents or contrast agents which can be introduced into the body of a patient. The display unit of the device can thus be correspondingly set for the applied auxiliary.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a catheter device for performing an atherectomy, which device contains an atherectomy catheter and a stent premounted on the atherectomy catheter.
Abstract:
To facilitate imaging of a patient two different image recording methods are to be carried out at the same time. An auxiliary fluid, for example a contrast medium or a tracer, may be introduced into the body in each image recording method. The invention proposes mixing the two auxiliary fluids in situ immediately before dispensing to the patient. For this purpose it provides an injector with which the auxiliary fluids may be mixed and supplied to the patient. Devices for controlling dispensing of fluid from containers connected to the injector to produce a mixed solution may be electronically controlled by a control unit which calculates the total quantities, and optionally sub-quantities, of auxiliary fluids, which are used for a mixed solution, before activating the devices.
Abstract:
Device for determining the position of at least one medical instrument with a position sensor system inserted into the body of a patient for an examination using imaging examination equipment, in particular X-ray equipment, wherein the device has a computing unit, in which at least one piece of examination equipment specific information limiting the possible spatial positions of the medical instrument during the examination is stored, wherein the computing unit is designed to determine the position in a limited position area of the possible spatial positions and according to the limiting examination equipment specific information.
