Abstract: A power amplifier circuit includes a power amplifier including a first transistor having a first terminal connected to a reference potential, a second terminal to which a first current and a radio-frequency signal are input, and a third terminal connected to a first power supply potential via a first inductor; a capacitor connected to the third terminal of the first transistor; a second transistor including a first terminal connected to the capacitor and the reference potential via a second inductor, a second terminal to which a second current is input and is connected to the reference potential, and a third terminal connected to the first power supply potential via a third inductor and outputs signal; and an adjustment circuit that outputs a third current corresponding to the first power supply potential or a second power supply potential to the second terminal of the second transistor.

Abstract: A radio frequency circuit includes an amplifier capable of amplifying a first radio frequency signal and a second radio frequency signal that has a frequency different from a frequency of the first radio frequency signal. Here, the amplifier uses a first power-supply voltage to amplify one of the first radio frequency signal and the second radio frequency signal and uses a second power-supply voltage to amplify both the first radio frequency signal and the second radio frequency signal together. A value of the second power-supply voltage is greater than a value of the first power-supply voltage.

The transmission signal amplifier is controlled by a first control signal supplied from a first control circuit. The reception signal amplifier is controlled by a second control signal supplied from a second control circuit. The switch is controlled by a switch control signal supplied from the first control circuit. The directional coupler is controlled by a coupler control signal supplied from the first control circuit.

Abstract: A power amplifier circuit includes lower-stage and upper-stage differential amplifying pairs, a combiner, first and second inductors, and first and second capacitors. First and second signals are input into the lower-stage differential amplifying pair. The upper-stage differential amplifying pair outputs first and second amplified signals. The combiner combines the first and second amplified signals. The lower-stage differential amplifying pair includes first and second transistors. A supply voltage is supplied to the collectors of the first and second transistors. The first and second signals are supplied to the bases of the first and second transistors. The upper-stage differential amplifying pair includes third and fourth transistors. A supply voltage is supplied to the collectors of the third and fourth transistors. The emitters of the third and fourth transistors are grounded via the first and second inductors and are connected to the first and second transistors via the first and second capacitors.

A first switch element switches between a first state in which a signal is supplied to the second radiation element and a second state including at least one of a state in which the second radiation element is connected to the ground plane with terminal impedance interposed therebetween, a state in which the second radiation element is in a floating state with respect to the second feed line and the ground plane, and a state in which the second radiation element is short-circuited to the ground plane.

Abstract: A power amplifier includes initial-stage and output-stage amplifier circuits, and initial-stage and output-stage bias circuits. The initial-stage amplifier circuit includes a first high electron mobility transistor having a source electrically connected to a reference potential, and a gate to which a radio-frequency input signal is inputted, and a first heterojunction bipolar transistor having an emitter electrically connected to a drain of the first high electron mobility transistor, a base electrically connected to the reference potential in an alternate-current fashion, and a collector to which direct-current power is supplied and from which a radio-frequency signal is outputted. The output-stage amplifier circuit includes a second heterojunction bipolar transistor having an emitter electrically connected to the reference potential, a base to which the radio-frequency signal outputted from the first heterojunction bipolar transistor is inputted, and a collector to which direct-current power is supplied and from which a radio-frequency output signal is outputted.
