Abstract:
An image communication method and apparatus use full duplex communication, wherein a receiving station sends position data designating where an error has been detected to a transmitting station via a backward channel while receiving the image data. The transmitting station continues to transmit current image data which is being sent when the position data is received and then retransmits the image data designated by the position data.
Abstract:
There is disclosed a thermal transfer recording apparatus utilizing an ink sheet and a recording sheet, provided with a thermal head, an ink sheet feeding mechanism, and a recording sheet feeding mechanism, in which, after the image recording, the ink sheet is fed at a speed lower than that of the recording sheet, thereby preventing the formation of creases or slack in the ink sheet.
Abstract:
Use of a composition comprising a polytetrafluoroethylene resin and a fine inorganic powder for a gasket, said composition being characterized in that the polytetrafluoroethylene resin is at least 5% by weight and the fine inorganic powder is at least 40% by weight, based on the total amount of the polytetrafluoroethylene resin and the fine inorganic powder; the total amount of the polytetrafluoroethylene resin and the fine inorganic powder is at least 80% by weight based on the entire amount of the composition; and the polytetrafluoroethylene resin and the fine inorganic powder are mutually uniformly dispersed and mixed with each other.
Abstract:
A data communication apparatus includes a transmitter to transmit an initial identification signal prior to a data communication in order to set a communication procedure for this communication; a detector to detect a significant signal from an apparatus on the distant side; an arrangement for changing a transmission timing of an initial identification signal in accordance with a detection output of the detector; and a controller to set the reception mode into the polling reception mode or the ordinary manual reception mode by checking the presence or absence of the significant signal. With this apparatus, the polling reception can be completely executed for a short preparation interval without collision of the mutual initial identification signals.
Abstract:
An image recording apparatus such as a facsimile apparatus has a recorder, a control circuit, a display circuit, a sensor for detecting a quantity of remaining recording paper, and an auxiliary memory for storing data which has been received but not yet recorded due to short supply of recording paper. When image information is recorded in a divided manner or recording of image information is interrupted during reception of such information, this state can be displayed.
Abstract:
In an Internet facsimile apparatus, it is an object of the invention to provide means for notifying the user of details of a message disposition notification situation (MDN) of a transmission image. When E-mail data is sent, an MDN for E-mail to be sent is requested and communication management information of the sent E-mail is updated on the basis of a reception result of reply E-mail responsive to the MDN request.
Abstract:
A dispersion element includes a prism having a first transmission surface and an oppositely disposed second transmission surface, and an optical element having a third transmission surface and an oppositely disposed diffraction optical surface on which a diffraction grating is arranged. The prism and the optical element are integrated into one body by cementing the first transmission surface to the third transmission surface. The third transmission surface and the diffraction optical surface are non-parallel to each other in a plane perpendicular to grooves of the diffraction grating.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a group III nitride crystal includes a step of mixing a group III source material and ammonia in a reactor including quartz, and growing a group III nitride crystal on a support substrate by a vapor deposition. The group III source material is an organic metal source material containing Al. The organic metal source material is mixed with a hydrogen halide gas and the mixture of the organic metal source material and the hydrogen halide gas is supplied to the reactor.
Abstract:
A spectroscope includes an emitting portion from where light is output, a dispersive element which is disposed on a side of the light emitting portion, to which the light is output, an incidence portion on which, light dispersed by the dispersive element is incident, and a temperature-compensating element which is disposed between the emitting portion and the incidence portion, and which is such that, an angle of incidence of the light dispersed on the incidence portion becomes almost constant with respect to a change in temperature in an operating temperature range. Moreover, the optical apparatus has such spectroscope in which temperature is compensated.
Abstract:
In facsimile-communicating an original when the Internet selection state in an operation unit is set to “automatic selection”, the original is communicated by selecting the e-mail-based Internet for an A4 original size, and the session-based Internet for a B4 or A3 original size. At the same time, the original information is transmitted in accordance with the transmission mode of its own apparatus, the encoding method determined based on the reception capability of a facsimile apparatus at a reception destination, and the receiving-side output original size and resolution.
