摘要: An image processing device includes: an acquisition unit that acquires an image by imaging surroundings of a vehicle; a generation unit that projects the image onto a three-dimensional projection plane including the vehicle at a first time point and a first projection area rising above the vehicle, and generates a composite image seen on the plane from a virtual viewpoint; a calculation unit that calculates a moving route of the vehicle from the first time point to a second time point on the plane; a change unit that changes a projection destination of at least a part of the moving route in the first projection area to a second projection area; and a display control unit that displays the composite image on the plane that includes the vehicle at the first time point, and the first and second projection areas seen from the virtual viewpoint on a display unit.

摘要: A configurable optical baffling includes an outer housing positioned above a fixed platform and has an outer opening. An inner housing is layered below the outer housing and above the fixed platform and has inner openings and inner shaded sections. The outer opening includes an elongated sensing boresight having a longitudinal boresight axis and opposing ends. An outer boresight opening end is open to the light from the scene, and a reflecting end has a flat fold mirror that is configured to reflect light from the outer boresight opening in towards the inner housing so that the optical baffling is configured to receive light from the scene solely from a single look direction along the boresight axis, the single look direction being changeable by rotation of the outer housing.

摘要: The invention relates to creating and viewing stereo images, for example stereo video images, also called 3D video. At least three camera sources with overlapping fields of view are used to capture a scene so that an area of the scene is covered by at least three cameras. At the viewer, a camera pair is chosen from the multiple cameras to create a stereo camera pair that best matches the location of the eyes of the user if they were located at the place of the camera sources. That is, a camera pair is chosen so that the disparity created by the camera sources resembles the disparity that the user's eyes would have at that location. If the user tilts his head, or the view orientation is otherwise altered, a new pair can be formed, for example by switching the other camera. The viewer device then forms the images of the video frames for the left and right eyes by picking the best sources for each area of each image for realistic stereo disparity.

摘要: A method for calibrating a projection system having a plurality of projectors, and a camera. The method comprises the camera capturing an image of a calibration pattern projected on to a projection surface by a first projector of the plurality of projectors; determining a projective reconstruction using corresponding points between pixels in the captured image and pixels in the projected calibration pattern; and determining a set of solutions for intrinsic parameters of the first projector, the set of solutions converting the projective reconstruction to a Euclidean reconstruction based on minimization of reprojection error between the camera and the first projector. The method also comprises determining intrinsic parameters of the first projector by selecting the intrinsic parameters from the set of solutions according to a reprojection error with respect to another projector; and applying the selected intrinsic parameters to determine a Euclidean reconstruction of the projection surface.

In some aspects, the invention provides an apparatus for displaying a hologram-like image. The apparatus includes an inverted, truncated pyramid bearing semi-reflective facets visible from outside of the apparatus in all horizontal directions. A base frame supports the truncated pyramid, houses an imaging system, and provides image source surfaces that display images beneath each of the facets to be reflected by each of the facets.
