    Abstract: A fluid end block for attachment to a power end of a high pressure reciprocating pump includes a main body portion having an outwardly facing body forward face, an outwardly facing body rear face opposite the body forward face, and opposing side surfaces. A web portion protrudes outwardly from the outwardly facing body forward face. The web portion may have an outwardly facing web forward face and a curvilinear side surface. The web portion may be integral with the main body portion. A plurality of bosses protrude from the web forward face and having a forward facing end. The plurality of bosses may be integral with the main body portion and the web portion. A plunger bore extends through one of the plurality of bosses configured to receive a reciprocating plunger.

    Abstract: A valve seat includes a generally cylindrical body that defines a bore extending axially therethrough and has an outer surface. An enlarged diameter portion extends axially from the generally cylindrical body and defines a shoulder surface and an annular surface disposed opposite the shoulder surface; the annular surface is configured to form a seal with a displaceable portion of a valve. An annular notch is formed in the outer surface of the generally cylindrical body, and it extends a distance from a shoulder surface. The annular notch decouples a stiffness of the enlarged diameter portion to thereby increase a radial compressibility of the generally cylindrical body. An annular channel is formed in the outer surface of the generally cylindrical body and is disposed axially below the annular notch. The annular channel is configured to receive a hydraulic fluid to compress radially the generally cylindrical body.

    Abstract: A power end frame assembly for a reciprocating pump that includes a first and second end plate segment each including annular bearing support surfaces configured to support a crankshaft bearing assembly. At least one middle plate segment is disposed between the first and second end plate segments and includes an annular bearing support surface configured to support a crankshaft bearing assembly. The annular bearing support surfaces of the first and second end plate segments and the at least one middle plate segment each have a diameter and are coaxially aligned. The diameter of at least one of the first and second end plate segments is different from the diameter of the at least one middle plate segment to facilitate insertion and removal of the crankshaft bearing assembly from the power end frame assembly.

    Abstract: A reciprocating pump assembly having a power end housing and a fluid end housing and a cylinder having at least a portion within the power end. A plunger assembly reciprocates between the power end housing and the fluid end housing of the pump assembly, the plunger assembly having a crosshead, a first section limited to movement within the power end and a second section moveable within the fluid end housing. The pump assembly also includes a seal housing disposed within the cylinder, the seal housing having a proximal end adjacent an entrance to the cylinder, and a distal end disposed within the cylinder. A power end seal is secured to the seal housing proximate the distal end and a fluid end seal is disposed within the fluid end housing. The power end seal sealingly engages an outer surface of the first section and the fluid end seal sealingly engages an outer surface of the second section such that during the reciprocating movement of the plunger assembly, fluid end proppant is deterred from contaminating the outer surface of the first section and thus, contaminating the power end seal.

    Abstract: According to one aspect, a pump assembly includes a fluid cylinder, the fluid cylinder including a fluid passage, the fluid passage defining a tapered internal shoulder of the fluid cylinder, the tapered internal shoulder defining a first angle. A valve controls flow of fluid through the fluid passage. The valve includes a valve seat, which is disposed in the fluid passage and includes a tapered external shoulder, the tapered external shoulder defining a second angle.     Abstract: According to one aspect, an apparatus adapted to be connected to a component that is part of a pump system or a manifold trailer includes a block defining opposing first and second exterior surfaces. In one aspect, the block includes a recess formed in the first exterior surface and extending towards the second exterior surface, and an opening formed in the second exterior surface. In another aspect, the apparatus also includes an electronic identifying device at least partially accommodated within the recess, the device including a first portion having data stored thereon that provides identification of the component. In one aspect, the electronic identifying device further includes a second portion having data stored thereon that provides one of: information associated with certification of the component; and identification of the pump system or the manifold trailer of which the component is a part.
