Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of performing motion compensation by using motion vector prediction. To this end, a method of decoding an image may include: generating multiple motion vector candidate lists according to an inter-prediction direction of a current block; deriving multiple motion vectors for the current block by using the multiple motion vector candidate lists; determining multiple prediction blocks for the current block by using the multiple motion vectors; and obtaining a final prediction block for the current block based on the multiple prediction blocks.
Abstract:
A method of decoding a bistream comprising a plurality of layers according to the present invention includes setting parameters for decoding the bitstream from a random access point when random access occurs, and decoding a decoding target picture, wherein the setting of the parameters includes setting an initialization flag indicating whether the decoding target picture, that is an intra random access point (IRAP) picture, is output by correctly decoding all reference layers of a target layer including the decoding target picture when the random access occurs; setting a flag variable (NoRaslOutputFlag) indicating whether the decoding target picture is used as a random access point; and resetting the initialization flag when the decoding target picture is an IRAP picture and the flag variable is 1.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an apparatus and method of providing an image processing. An image processing method according to the present disclosure includes: obtaining at least one of image information and depth information of an omni-directional video; and mapping the obtained information to a three-dimensional coordinate system based on a particular three-dimensional figure.
Abstract:
The present invention is related to a method for moving the position of a base view from an arbitrary GOP (Group Of Pictures) start position to implement an efficient encoding structure in multi-view video encoding. The existing multi-view video encoding method exhibits low encoding efficiency when correlation between the base view and a dependent view is low, since the base view is assumed to be fixed. Moreover, in case the view in a live broadcasting program desired by a producer changes from the base view to another, the user has to consume more bit streams and decoder complexity than those consumed when decoding is performed with respect to the base view. Therefore, to alleviate the drawbacks of the existing multi-view video encoding method, the present invention provides a method for designing syntax elements by which the base view can be moved, thereby supporting an efficient encoding structure.

Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for image encoding/decoding that support a plurality of layers. The method for image decoding that supports a plurality of layers includes decoding information of a first layer which a picture of a second layer including a current decoding target block refers to; mapping the information of the first layer to a picture size of the second layer, configuring a reference picture list for the picture of the second layer by adding the mapped information of the first layer and generating prediction samples of the current decoding target block by predicting the current decoding target block of the second layer based on the reference picture list, and the information of the first layer includes at least one of a sample value and motion information of the first layer picture.
Abstract:
Disclosed are an image encoding/decoding method and device supporting a plurality of layers. The image decoding method supporting the plurality of layers comprises the steps of; receiving a bitstream comprising the plurality of layers; and decoding the bitstream so as to acquire maximum number information about sublayers with respect to each of the plurality of layers.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for predicting an inter-layer of an image having a plurality of layers including at least one temporal sub-layer. The method according to present invention comprises the steps of: acquiring information on a temporal sub-layer for inter-layer prediction; inducing a reference picture used for predicting an inter-layer of a current picture on the basis of the information on the temporal sub-layer; and predicting the inter-layer of the current picture on the basis of the reference picture.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for an adaptive Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) streaming service using metadata of content are provided. The metadata may include one or more BaseURL elements. Uniform Resource Locators (URLs) of segments forming media may be generated based on the BaseURL elements. Additionally, a URL of a segment may be generated by mapping a BaseURL element among the BaseURL elements to a sourceURL attribute of the segment. Segments indicated by generated URLs may be identical to each other.
