Abstract:
The method for performing a random access procedure by a user equipment in a network in which a plurality of communication systems interwork may comprise: establishing an association with an access point (AP) of a neighboring wireless LAN communication system if it is impossible to perform a direct uplink transmission to a cellular communication system of the plurality of communication systems or that the UE is located in an area where direct uplink transmission is not possible; transmitting, to the AP, a first message including a random access preamble sequence; receiving a second message from a eNode B of the cellular communication system in response to the first message; transmitting, to the AP, a third message including the received second message and a radio resource control (RRC) connection request; and receiving, from the eNode B, a fourth message related to an RRC connection setup in response to the third message.
Abstract:
A user equipment in a communication environment in which a plural communication systems interwork comprises: a processor for searching a base station of a first communication system, the base station having a signal intensity higher than a threshold; and a receiver for receiving information of a base station list of a second communication system adjacent to the terminal through a first communication system link from the searched base station of the first communication system, wherein the processor turns on a second communication system mode in the case of failing in random access channel (RACH) transmissions a predetermined number of times to the searched base station of the first communication system, wherein the receiver receives a beacon signal including an indicator which indicates support of an uplink transmission of the first communication system from base stations included in the information of the base station list of the second communication system; the processor recognizes that an uplink transmission is disabled or only a downlink transmission is enabled through the first communication system link based on the beacon signal; and the information of the base station list of the second communication system may include an indicator which indicates whether the base station of the second communication system supports a downlink (DL) or uplink (UL) transmission through the first communication system link.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a BBU power configuring method and a BBU which determine required power which is requested by a BBU to an RRH to transmit a downlink signal to a terminal based on RRH power headroom information in a cloud LAN environment in which the RRH and the BBU are separated and transmit a power allocation change request message for making a request for changing transmission power of other BBUs connected to the RRH to the other BBUs.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for acquiring information on an access point (AP) in a wireless communication system is provided. An AP information management entity of a cellular system transmits a request for information on an AP to an AP server, and receives a response, which includes a result code of the request, from the AP server. The AP information management entity of the cellular system may be one of an eNodeB (eNB), mobility management entity (MME), or a new entity of the cellular system.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for transmitting information for synchronization of a user equipment by a base station in a wireless communication system and apparatus for the same. In one embodiment of the present invention, a source base station transmits a request message requesting uplink synchronization information according to a predetermined reference to a target base station, receives a response message including the synchronization information from the target base station in response to the requested message, and transmits the received synchronization information to one or more user equipments which are to move to a cell serviced by the target base station. The synchronization information is used when the user equipments move to the cell serviced by the target base station without a process of acquiring the synchronization information.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for managing information of on/off small cells in a small cell-based network system and apparatuses for supporting the same. As an embodiment of the present invention, a method for managing information on on/off small cells in a radio access system supporting small cells comprises the steps of: receiving a first message including cell state change information of a first cell corresponding to a small cell, which is changed to an on state or an off state, by a second cell; and transmitting a second message including the cell state change information to a UE by the second cell. At this time, the cell state change information may contain identification information of the first cell, on/off time information indicating a time when change to an on state or an off state is made, and on/off timer information indicating a time interval in which the change to the on state or the off state is made.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for obtaining information related to beacon transmission in a wireless communication system is provided. A node of a primary radio access technology (RAT) system obtains first information related to beacon transmission including information on a start point of a beacon interval of each entity of a secondary RAT system, and transmits second information related to the beacon transmission based on the obtained first information related to the beacon transmission to a general device through the primary RAT system.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus of registering an entity of a secondary radio access technology (RAT) system in a management device of a primary RAT system in a wireless communication system is provided. The primary RAT system may be a cellular system, and the management device of the primary RAT system may be one of eNodeB (eNB), mobility management entity (MME), or a new entity. The second RAT system may be a wireless local area network (WLAN) system, and the entity of the secondary RAT system may be an access point (AP). The AP registration method may be initiated by the AP, or a general device, e.g., a multi radio access technology (RAT) device supporting a plurality of RATs.
Abstract:
A method and a user equipment (UE) for network attachment are disclosed. The method includes receiving first status information associated with one or more remote radio units (RRUs) for supporting the small cell from the one or more RRUs, receiving second status information associated with one or more macro cells from one or more macro eNBs for supporting the macro cell, selecting an RRU and macro eNB, which the UE wants to attach, among the one or RRUs based on the first status information and the second status information, and simultaneously transmitting an attach request message for requesting network attachment from the selected RRU and macro eNB to the selected RRU and macro eNB.
