Abstract:
A headset which consists of an ear hook and a holding ring that are interconnected by means of an attachment element formed by a hinge, which is made of a deformable, flexible material that may be an elastomer, such as EPOM, TPE or Santroprene®The hinge has a four-sided hole in which one end of the ear hook may be received, said end being formed with a four-sided shape in dimensions corresponding to the hole. Teeth are formed in the hole which are capable of cooperating with depressions formed on the four-sided end. The invention provides an attachment element which may be manipulated several times when adjusting the position of the ear hook relative to the holding ring, without play occurring in the hinge at any time, since there are no mutually movable slide bearing parts, such as shafts that can slide. In other words, a stable attachment is ensured between the ear hook and the holding ring in the positions selected by a user. In addition, it is possible to displace the ear hook in the hinge by mutual displacement of the positions in which the teeth engage the depressions.
Abstract:
A telephone headset apparatus is disclosed. This headset apparatus includes a body having a microphone at one end and a transducer at the opposite end, an earhook, for attaching the apparatus to the ear of the operator, and a mechanism, contained within the body in a movable engagement, for holding the earhook in a frictional engagement that allows for movement of the earhook, with three degrees of freedom. The mechanism is located at a point within the body where upon adjustment of the earhook by the operator (i.e., rotated, tilted, pivoted) the headset apparatus remains properly balanced and within the sound envelope of an operator, for uninterrupted operation.

Abstract:
An earphone device (1) to be worn in the ear, which earphone device (1) comprising a main body (18) to be arranged in the concha (19) of the outer ear (14) of a user and an optical sensor (35), which optical sensor (35) comprises a light emitter (16) and a light detector (17). The earphone device (1) comprises window means (8, 9) through which light emitted by the light emitter (16) can be transmitted. The window means (8, 9) comprises an end face (31) adapted to abut a conchal wall (37) at a sensing position (36). The main body (18) comprises a speaker protrusion (26) to be inserted into to ear canal (15). The distance between the speaker protrusion (26) and the end face (31) is adjustable.
Abstract:
A wireless headset system comprising a first telecommunication device, a second telecommunication device, such as a mobile phone or a smart phone and a wireless headset adapted to be wirelessly connected by a first radio link to the first telecommunication device. The headset system is adapted to transfer a call from the first telecommunication device to the second telecommunication device, when the first wireless link or a second radio link between the first telecommunication device and the second telecommunication device is broken or becomes sufficiently weak. The invention also relates to a method and a headset to be used with such a system.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a headset and an ear hook for a headset, the headset comprising a housing portion and a microphone component, the microphone component comprising a microphone boom, the microphone boom comprising a wire, wherein the ear hook comprises: a first end structurally connected to the housing portion; a second end comprising a wire holder configured for detachable retention of the wire from the microphone boom; and where a portion of the ear hook between the first end and the second end is configured for attaching the ear hook to an ear of a user.
Abstract:
A hands free communication device (2), such as a headset, adapted to be simultaneously connected to a first telecommunication device (2) and a second telecommunication device (3). The hands free communication device (2) is adapted to send a call status signal to the first telecommunication device (3) upon reception of a corresponding call status signal from the second telecommunication device (4) and to send a call status signal to the second telecommunication device (4) upon reception of a corresponding call status signal from the first telecommunication device (3). The invention also relates to a system implementing such a hands free device (2) and a method using such a system.
