A preferred projection/receiver arrangement is described. Also, a useful seal arrangement is described. Air cleaner assemblies, methods of assembly and use are also provided.
Abstract:
An inlet protection system for filtering air prior to entry into an air intake of an engine of an aircraft includes interchangeably a particle separator panel and a barrier filter panel. The barrier filter panel is adapted to be mounted conformal to the contour of the aircraft and to be interchangeable with the particle separator panel. The particle separator panel has an outer skin and a plurality of particle separators. The outer skin has an opening disposed along a portion of it to discharge filtered particles from within the removable panel directly outward therefrom.

The current technology relates to an interlock device having a compression assembly and a fitting. The compression assembly has a first end, a second end, a locked position, and an unlocked position. A bayonet coupling defines the locked position of the compression assembly in a first position and defines the unlocked position of the compression assembly in a second position. A spring is compressibly disposed between the first compression assembly end and the second compression assembly end. The fitting is disposed on the second compression assembly end, and the fitting is configured to receive a filter receptacle. The compression assembly is configured to engage with a mating filter cartridge.
Abstract:
A dosing and mixing arrangement is disclosed herein. The arrangement includes a mixing tube having a constant diameter along its length. At least a first portion of the mixing tube includes a plurality of apertures. The arrangement also includes a swirl structure for causing exhaust flow to swirl outside of the first portion of the mixing tube in one direction along a flow path that extends at least 270 degrees around a central axis of the mixing tube. The arrangement is configured such that the exhaust enters an interior of the mixing tube through the apertures as the exhaust swirls along the flow path. The exhaust entering the interior of the mixing tube through the apertures has a tangential component that causes the exhaust to swirl around the central axis within the interior of the mixing tube. The arrangement also includes a doser for dispensing a reactant into the interior of the mixing tube.

Described herein are peripherally enriched fibrous media. The peripherally enriched fibrous media are nonwoven media including at least one peripheral region that is enriched in one or more binder resins, and at least one bulk region that is significantly or substantially free of binder resin, the regions being present in a single fibrous media layer. Methods of making the media and performance advantages of the media in one or more filtration applications are also described.

The components include features of an air cleaner housing; advantageous main filter cartridges; and, advantageous safety filter cartridge features. Features of the main filter cartridge are provided to engage an access cover of the assembly, and a cartridge support within the housing, in a preferred manner.
