Abstract:
An apparatus and method for generating a codebook in a wireless communication system are disclosed. The codebook generation method includes determining one or more dominant singular vectors in a channel matrix for antennas and setting each of the dominant singular vectors as a random non-zero vector, generating a first codebook having codewords, a minimum distance between the codewords being maximized, using the random non-zero vector in a region that includes unit norm vectors each having a Euclidean distance to each of the dominant singular vectors, equal to or less than a predetermined value, generating a second codebook corresponding to a unitary matrix that rotates the random non-zero vector toward the dominant singular vectors, and generating a final codebook using the first and second codebooks.

Abstract:
The present application discloses a method in which a base station transmits a reference signal sequence in a wireless communication system. In detail, the method comprises the steps of: generating a pseudo-random sequence using a first m-sequence and a second m-sequence; generating the reference signal sequence using the pseudo-random sequence; and transmitting the reference signal to a mobile station via antenna ports different from one another. The second m-sequence has an initial value containing parameters for discriminating reference signal sequences among users.

A method for a power save mode operation in a wireless local area network (WLAN) system is provided. The method includes transmitting, by an access point (AP), a traffic indication map (TIM) element that announces existence of buffered traffic, wherein the TIM element includes an association ID (AID) assigned to a buffered STA having the buffered traffic when the buffered station (STA) is associated with the AP; receiving, by the AP, a poll frame for requesting data frame transmission from a candidate STA, wherein the poll frame contains an AID of the candidate STA and a medium access control (MAC) address which is a unique identifying information of the candidate STA; and determining, by the AP, whether the candidate STA is the buffered STA on the basis of the AID and the MAC address of the candidate STA.
Abstract:
A method for transmitting signals using a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) scheme to guarantee a constellation rearrangement gain having a predetermined level or more is provided. Predetermined code blocks are encoded, sub-block interleaving is performed with respect to the encoded code blocks, and the sub-block interleaved code blocks are transmitted according to redundancy version (RV) start locations of the sub-block interleaved code blocks. The RVs are set such that the order of bit streams modulated by an M-QAM (M>4) scheme is changed upon a retransmission. In addition, the RVs are set such that the RV start locations applied to code blocks having different sizes are different.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of determining a Modulation and Coding Scheme (MCS) feedback in a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) system, including an MCS FeedBack (MFB) responder receiving a first frame, including a request message requesting to send the MFB, from an MFB requester and the MFB responder sending the MFB, including a recommended MCS value, to the MFB requester. The recommended MCS value is derived with reference to at least one of unsolicit type information indicative of a type of the MFB, transmit type information indicative of a transmission type of data, coding type information indicative of a coding scheme applied to the data, a group ID indicative of a group of target stations (STAs) to which the data will be transmitted, and MFB bandwidth information indicative of a bandwidth of a channel.
Abstract:
A Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) device and a method of manufacturing the same are provided. The liquid crystal molecules are inclined and rearranged in a radial shape by patterning upper and lower electrodes across and apart from each other on dummy pixels disposed on a black matrix formed in a non-display area of an LCD device and applying an electric field to a liquid crystal layer via the upper and lower electrodes. Thus, ion impurities in the non-display area can be prevented from dispersing to a display area, thereby improving edge part stains of the LCD device. The LCD device includes a first substrate including first pixel electrodes of the dummy pixels; a second substrate facing the first substrate and including first common electrodes formed across and apart from the first pixel electrodes; and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, and having liquid crystal molecules rearranged by an electric field applied via the first pixel electrodes and the first common electrodes.
Abstract:
A method for a channel sounding in a wireless local area network is provided. The method includes transmitting a null data packet announcement (NDPA) frame, to a plurality of receivers, the NDPA frame requesting a channel statement information feedback and announcing that a null data packet (NDP) frame is to be transmitted; transmitting the NDP frame being a basis of channel estimation for the plurality of receivers; receiving a first feedback frame from a first receiver among the plurality of receivers, transmitting a feedback poll frame to a second receiver; and, receiving a second feedback frame from the second receiver, the second feedback frame including second channel state information estimated by the second receiver. If the first receiver fails to perform the channel estimation, the first feedback frame is a null feedback frame. The null feedback frame is a feedback frame not including channel state information.
