    Abstract: A wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) may be configured to receive an indication/configuration from a network regarding changes in information related to the serving cell's identity (e.g., Physical cell identity (PCI), Cell Global Identity (CGI), etc.), which may contain additional information such as the conditions when this change becomes effective. Upon the reception of this indication, and if a condition is also specified, fulfillment of the condition, the WTRU may be configured to consider the new PCI/CGI as the serving cell's PCI/CGI, consider the old PCI as belonging to a neighbor cell, and/or may update the security keys that are used for encryption and integrity protection based on the new PCI.

    Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for reducing control signaling in uplink transmissions. A device, such as a wireless transmit/receive unit, may determine to use a demodulation reference signal (DM-RS) transmission schedule out of a plurality of DM-RS transmission schedules. The DM-RS transmission schedule may be characterized by a DM-RS transmission being mapped to a single orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol per subframe of a data stream. The DM-RS transmission schedule may be characterized by a DM-RS transmission being mapped to a first subset of subcarriers of an OFDM symbol of a subframe of a data stream and Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) transmission or Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) control information being mapped to a second set of subcarriers of the OFDM symbol. The first set of subcarriers may be different than the second set of subcarriers. The data stream may be transmitted according to the DM-RS transmission schedule.

    Abstract: Radio network Positioning Reference Signals (PRSs) may be managed dynamically via user equipment (UE) requests triggered by measurements in accordance with initial PRS configurations, whereby a UE contacts an Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF) and/or a Location Management Function (LMF). Similarly, an LMF may initiate adjustments in PRS configurations and transmission via communications with base stations, UEs, and/or AMFs. Dynamic signaling of PRS configurations may be achieved via legacy protocols and/or New Radio Positioning Protocol A (NRPPa), for example. A requests from a UE for PRS configuration adjustment may include an indication of a required level of service or of a class of service, for example, and/or an indication of signal measurements, a position estimate, an indication of a capability of the UE.
