Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for sidelink assisted retransmissions, in which a first UE obtains first data intended for a second UE by decoding a first transmission of the first data targeting the second UE, receives signaling indicating the first UE is to retransmit the first data to the second UE, and retransmits the first data to the second UE, via a sidelink, in response to the signaling.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device may establish connectivity between the wireless device and a user equipment (UE) via a first communication path, and between the wireless device and the UE via a second communication path that includes a relay device. The wireless device may transmit, via the first communication path, a first message in a first format to the UE, including first data, and transmit, via the second communication path to the relay device, a second message in a second format and including the first data, the second format indicating that the relay device is to relay the first data to the UE. The relay device may receive, via a first portion of the second communication path, the first message and may transmit, to the UE via a second portion of the second path, a second message including the first data.

A first user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling comprising an indication of a format for a channel state information report indicating channel state information for a sidelink channel between the first UE and a second UE. The first UE may determine the channel state information for the sidelink channel between the first UE and the second UE. The first UE may configure a layer one uplink control message to indicate the channel state information report according to the format. The first UE may transmit, based at least in part on the format, the layer one uplink control message to a base station indicating the channel state information report.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support mechanisms for configuring an uplink relay for wireless powered IoT operations in a wireless communication system. A base station transmits a power signal to wireless powered IoT devices. The wireless powered IoT devices harvest energy from the power signal to power their reception/transmission circuitry. The base station transmits an information signal to trigger the wireless powered IoT devices to reflect a backscatter transmission. The wireless powered IoT devices transmit a backscatter transmission in response to receiving the information signal from the base station. The base station transmits configurations to a UE including configuration information respectively corresponding to the wireless powered IoT devices, and include information that the UE may use to detect the backscatter transmissions from the wireless powered IoT devices and relay them to the base station based on the configurations.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to support resource selection for a sidelink transmission based on a priority of available resources. A physical (PHY) layer of a user equipment (UE) may report different subsets of available resources to a medium access control (MAC) layer. Each subset may be associated with a different priority and the MAC layer may use the subsets to select a resource for the sidelink transmission. The MAC layer may additionally or alternatively maintain a list of UE identifiers (IDs) and may provide the list of the UE IDs to the PHY layer for resource identification. The PHY layer may use the list to implement different reference signal parameters for UEs associated with the list of UE IDs than for other UEs. The PHY layer may report the set of available resources to the MAC layer, based on the list of UE IDs.

In one aspect, an apparatus transmits, to a second UE, an indication to provide HARQ feedback for at least one sidelink channel. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Aspects of the present disclosure provide a user equipment (UE) with a capability to identify an enhanced sidelink resource pool including resources that are otherwise excluded from configured sidelink resource pools. In some examples, the UE may identify the enhanced sidelink resource pool based on sidelink parameters for transmitting one or more sidelink messages, and the UE may use the enhanced sidelink resource pool for additional sidelink transmissions. The additional sidelink transmissions may include standalone sidelink control information (SCI) transmissions or other types of transmissions associated with sidelink communications. The resources associated with the enhanced sidelink resource pool may have a relatively finer granularity than those included within a base sidelink resource pool that is, for example, configured by a network.
