Abstract: Embodiments contemplate that the transfer of an Internet Protocol (IP) address from one (e.g. a first) Gateway (GW) to another (e.g. a second) Gateway (GW) may improve the Dynamic Mobility Management (DMM) handling in any network environment, including a dense network environment. Embodiments contemplate a dense network may enable a User Equipment (UE or wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU)) to be connected to the closest GW while the IP address transfer may enable the usage of a relatively short data path (e.g. perhaps a “shortest” data path), which may be useful in the context of DMM, perhaps even for existing flows. Using the contemplated capability of moving IP addresses may minimize the number of IP addresses allocated and/or the number of tunnels to be maintained.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for enabling multi-host multipath secure transport with Quick User Datagram Protocol (UDP) Connections (QUIC) are described herein. A method performed by a client endpoint may involve sending, to a network node, a request to establish a QUIC connection with a destination endpoint, the request to establish the QUIC connection including a flow identifier (ID). The method may involve receiving, from the network node, a response including an indication that the request to establish the QUIC connection with the destination endpoint is accepted. The method may involve encapsulating inner QUIC packetized data within outer QUIC packetized data, the inner QUIC packetized data including the flow ID. The method may involve sending, to the network node, the outer QUIC packetized data for forwarding toward the destination endpoint based on the flow ID.

Abstract: A first policy control function (PCF) in a first network node may receive an indication from a session management function (SMF) that a protocol data unit (PDU) session is an alternative PDU session, and an indication of whether the PDU session is in a drop state. The first PCF may send a message with an indication to a second PCF in a second network node to indicate that the network node is serving a PDU session that is an alternative PDU session. In an example, the message with an indication to the second PCF may also identify the PDU session. The first PCF may receive a message from the second PCF with an indication that a second PDU session has experienced a fault or degraded performance. Further, the first PCF may send a message to the SMF to change the PDU session to a no-drop state.

Abstract: A method performed by a wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU), of receiving a mobile terminated (MT) transmission using an ambient Internet of Things (IOT) service (AIS) is described. The method includes the WTRU receiving an activation signal from a radio access network (RAN) node and harvesting energy. Abstract: Methods to perform, maintain and report measurements on a transmission-reception point (TRP) using limited reference signal transmission are described herein. The mobility measurement reports may utilize physical channels. Methods to obtain measurements on neighbor TRPs using limited RS transmissions are also described herein. Random-Access procedures to enable the addition of a neighbor TRP or handover without requiring higher layer signaling (and possibly without an interface between source and target TRP) are also described herein. New triggers to perform RA in order to decrease handover latency are also described herein. Wireless Transmit/Receive Unit (WTRU) behavior upon receiving RAR from multiple possible TRPs are also described herein. For example, a WTRU may store RAR information and use it later in an interrupted RA procedure.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for secure access control in wireless communications are disclosed. In an example, a method includes receiving a broadcast message including system information, identifying a first set of hashed identifiers (IDs) and a first random number based on the system information, and each ID of the first set of hashed IDs is individually hashed using at least the first random number. The method also includes calculating a first hash value for each ID of a second set of IDs using at least the first random number, determining whether at least a hashed ID of the second set of IDs matches a hashed ID of the first set of hashed IDs, and sending a request message based on a determination that at least a hashed ID of the second set of IDs matches a hashed ID of the first set of hashed IDs.
