Abstract:
A building management system (BMS) includes building equipment configured to provide raw data samples of a data point and a data collector configured to collect the raw data samples from the building equipment and generate a raw data timeseries including a plurality of the raw data samples. The BMS includes a timeseries service configured to generate one or more optimized data timeseries from the raw data timeseries and a timeseries database configured to store the raw data timeseries and the one or more optimized data timeseries. The BMS includes a dashboard layout generator configured to identify each timeseries associated with the data point and to generate a framework-agnostic dashboard layout description capable of being rendered by multiple different rendering frameworks to visualize each of the identified timeseries.
Abstract:
A building management system (BMS) includes building equipment configured to provide raw data samples of one or more data points in the BMS. The BMS further includes a data collector configured to collect raw data samples from the building equipment and generate one or more raw data timeseries comprising a plurality of the raw data samples. The BMS also includes a timeseries processing engine. The timeseries processing engine is configured to identify one or more timeseries processing workflows that apply to the raw data timeseries, each of the workflows comprising a predefined sequence of timeseries processing operation. The timeseries processing engine is further configured to process the raw data timeseries using the identified timeseries processing workflows to generate one or more derived data timeseries. The BMS further includes a timeseries storage interface configured to store the raw data timeseries and the derived data timeseries in a timeseries database.
Abstract:
A method for registering an HVAC device in a distributed building management system (BMS). The method includes requesting a token. The token is configured to authorize a registration of the HVAC device. The method further includes receiving the token at a registration service, and receiving a unique ID associated with the HVAC device at the registration service. The method also includes registering the device into a document database of the registration service and generating a device shadow associated with the HVAC device. The method also includes storing the device shadow in the distributed BMS.
Abstract:
A contractor recommendation system includes one or more databases storing contractor attributes for a plurality of contractors and attribute weights indicating a relative importance of each of the contractor attributes. The system uses the contractor attributes and the attribute weights to select one or more recommended contractors for a building owner and generates a contractor recommendation comprising an indication of the one or more recommended contractors. The system provides the contractor recommendation to the building owner and receives a contractor selection from the building owner. The system uses the contractor selection as a feedback to determine an importance of each of the contractor attributes to the building owner and automatically updates the stored attribute weights based on the determined importance.
Abstract:
A home control system includes a thermostat configured to measure environmental conditions in a first room of a building and control heating, ventilation, and air condition (HVAC) equipment within the building. The thermostat includes a central control hub configured to communicate with a plurality of remote sensor units via a data communications interface. The thermostat further includes a processing circuit configured to monitor and control non-HVAC equipment within the building. The system further includes a first remote sensor unit of the plurality of remote sensor units. The first remote sensor unit is configured to measure environmental conditions in a second room of the building and wirelessly communicate information associated with the measured environmental conditions to the central control hub. The thermostat is further configured to control both the HVAC equipment and the non-HVAC equipment within the building based on the information received from the remote sensor unit.
Abstract:
A computer-implemented system for facilitating communication between a plurality of building automation subsystems and a plurality of applications includes a first database storing a hierarchical model of a building automation system. The system further includes a messaging engine configured to receive a message from one of the disparate building automation subsystems and for one of the plurality of applications. The messaging engine is configured to use the information in the second database to transform the message into a standard format, to append the projected semantic type string to the transformed message, and to provide the transformed message to one of the plurality of applications.
Abstract:
A building system includes one or more storage devices having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to receive an unstructured user question from a user device of a user and query a graph database based on the unstructured user question to extract context associated with the unstructured user question from contextual information of a building stored by the graph database, wherein the graph database stores the contextual information of the building through nodes and edges between the nodes, wherein the nodes represent equipment, spaces, people, and events associated building and the edges represent relationships between the equipment, spaces, people, and events. The instructions further cause the one or more processors to retrieve data from one or more data sources based on the context and compose a presentation based on the retrieved data.
Abstract:
A building system including one or more memory devices configured to store instructions that cause one or more processors to store a graph data structure in a data storage device including a plurality of nodes representing a plurality of entities and a plurality of edges between the plurality of nodes representing a plurality of relationships between the plurality of entities, wherein the plurality of entities include a first entity representing one of a person, place, or piece of equipment of the building, wherein a second entity of the plurality of entities represents a software component, wherein the software component performs operations for the person, place, or piece of equipment of the building indicated by one or more edges of the plurality of edges relating the first entity to the second entity and cause the software component to execute and perform the operations for the person, place, or piece of equipment.
Abstract:
A building energy management includes building equipment, one or more data platform services, a timeseries database, and an energy management application. The building equipment operate to monitor and control a variable and provide raw data samples of a data point associated with the variable. The timeseries database stores a plurality of timeseries associated with the data point. The plurality of timeseries include a timeseries of the raw data samples and the one or more optimized data timeseries generated by the data platform services based on the raw data timeseries. The energy management application generates an ad hoc dashboard including a widget and associates the widget with the data point. The widget displays a graphical visualization of the plurality of timeseries associated with the data point and includes interactive user interface options for switching between the plurality of timeseries associated with the data point.
