In one embodiment, an apparatus includes a Christmas tree, a choke coupled to receive fluid from the Christmas tree, and a high-integrity pressure protection system. The high-integrity pressure protection system includes pressure sensors downstream of the choke, valves upstream of the choke, and a logic solver connected to control operation of the valves of the high-integrity pressure protection system that are upstream of the choke. Further, the valves of the high-integrity pressure protection system that are upstream of the choke include at least two valves of the Christmas tree. Additional systems, devices, and methods are also disclosed.

In one embodiment, such a system includes a hang-off ram of a blowout preventer and a hang-off sub sized to fit within a bore of the blowout preventer. The hang-off ram and the hang-off sub have complementary surfaces that enable the hang-off ram to engage the hang-off sub within the blowout preventer to facilitate suspension of a sucker-rod string in a well from the hang-off sub.     摘要: A packoff and a locking assembly installed in a bore of a wellhead component are provided. In one embodiment, a packoff includes inner and outer annular seals and an energizing ring shaped to be wedged between the inner and outer annular seals so as to apply a radially inward biasing force on the inner annular seal and a radially outward biasing force on the outer annular seal. In another embodiment, a locking assembly includes a lock ring that extends into a recess in a wall of the bore of the wellhead component and an actuator radially disposed between an inner component within the bore and the lock ring to retain the lock ring within the recess. The actuator can have an interference fit with the inner component to inhibit movement of the actuator between the lock ring and the inner component. Additional systems, devices, and methods are also disclosed.

    摘要: Arrangement in a hose connector of a riser provided between a wellhead and a floating surface installation. One or more hoses form a flexible fluid communicating connection between an upper portion of the riser and the floating surface installation. The first end portion of at least one fluid conduit is fixed to the riser by an upwardly directed, first pipe muzzle and is provided with a rotatable connecting sleeve. Each of one or more flexible hoses is connected to a conduit spool of a connecting assembly provided with a second and pipe muzzle that is arranged for releasable mating with the first end portion of the fluid conduit. A lifting yoke is connected to the connecting assembly and forms an actuator which is able to effect rotary motion to the connecting sleeve to enable engagement.

    摘要: An artificial heart with a centrifugal pump is disclosed. In one embodiment, the artificial heart includes an impeller disposed in a housing. The impeller is configured to rotate to circulate blood through the housing. The impeller may include a set of blades on a first side of the impeller and a set of vanes on a second side opposite the first. The blades on the first side and the vanes on the second side allow blood circulation from both the first and the second sides of the impeller. The artificial heart may also or instead include a diffuser with adjustable vanes that enable variation in the output characteristics of the artificial heart pump.
