    摘要: A method of controlling an oxygen-free heat treating process in an atmospheric pressure furnace is disclosed. The present method employs an oxygen-free gas atmosphere including hydrogen gas in concentrations between about 1.0 percent to 10.0 percent, a hydrocarbon gas, such as propylene, in concentrations of between about 0.1 percent and 10.0 percent that varies as a function of time, with the balance of the gas atmosphere being nitrogen. The presently disclosed oxygen-free carburization process uses a precisely controlled gas atmosphere to minimize inter-granular oxidation, eliminate the formation of soot and cementite, and avoid hydrogen embrittlement.

In the disclosed embodiment a liquid cryogen is first vaporized and subsequently compressed prior to undergoing sterilization using biological filters. The compressed, sterilized cryogen vapor is then pre-cooled, preferably with the cryogen being vaporized, to produce a partially condensed, cool, sterile cryogen stream and then further condensed using the liquid cryogen to produce a sterilized liquid cryogen.

    摘要: A process for recovering carbon dioxide from a gas containing both carbon dioxide and oxygen wherein a carbon dioxide and oxygen containing gas is first contacted with an alkanolamine solution to produce an alkanolamine loaded with carbon dioxide and oxygen, the oxygen is separated from the absorption solution, such as by stripping with a scavenging gas, such as the carbon dioxide containing fluid obtained from the separation of carbon dioxide from the alkanolamine solution or nitrogen, prior to any heating of the absorption solution, and carbon dioxide is steam stripped from the absorption solution and recovered. By stripping the oxygen out of the alkanolamine solution, oxidative degradation of the alkanolamine can be reduced.
