    摘要: The invention relates to an electrophoretic display, comprising electrodes and cells containing at least one kind of ionic, monochrome particles, a non-polar liquid and a dispersant, wherein the ionic, monochrome particles of at least one kind are essentially aggregates consisting of a carbon containing pigment and a cationic pigment orcationic pigment derivative, and the dispersantis selected from the group consisting of polyacrylates, polyesters, polyurethanes and copolymers, with the proviso that the cationic pigment or cationic pigment derivative is not a reaction product of carbonblack with diazotated procaine hydrochloride. In general, the whole quantity of the pigment and the main part, preferably at least 80%, most preferred from 95% to 100%, of the whole cationic pigment or cationic pigment derivative present within the cells is comprised in the aggregates, with essentially no pigment and only a minor part of the cationic pigment or cationic pigment derivative physically distinct from the aggregates.

    摘要: The present invention relates to coating compositions containing a polymeric or copolymeric levelling agent, which has been prepared by nitroxyl-mediated polymerisation. Further aspects are a process for the preparation of smooth surface coatings and the use of said polymer or copolymer as levelling agent in coating compositions. Yet another aspect are specific ethylenically unsaturated monomer compositions from which copolymers can be obtained by atom transfer radical polymerisation or nitroxyl mediated polymerisation, which copolymers are useful as levelling agents in coating compositions. Still another aspect is the use of poly-tert.-butyl acrylate or poly-tert.butylmethacrylate as a levelling agent in powder coating compositions.

    摘要: The instant invention pertains to a concentrated aqueous dispersion of organic light stabilizers with a particle size of less than 1000 nm, prepared by heterophase radical polymerization of ethylenically unsaturated monomers in the presence of the light stabilizers, wherein the weight ratio of light stabilizer to polymeric carrier is greater than 50/100. Another aspect of the invention is a process for the preparation of such aqueous dispersions with high light stabilizer content. Aqueous dispersions prepared according to this process are useful ingredients for adhesives, aqueous emulsions of natural or synthetic rubbers, water based inks or a water based coating compositions, which are consequently also subjects of the invention.

    摘要: A composition comprising a carrier and a comb copolymer made by copolymerizing a polyalkyl (meth)acrylate macromonomer, present in an amount of 10-90 wt %, with the following monomers in a total amount of 90-10 wt %: (a) 0-90 wt % of C.sub.6 -C.sub.30 alkyl (meth)acrylates, (b) 0-60 wt % of nonfunctionalized comonomers selected form the group consisting of C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 alkyl (meth)acrylates, styrene, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl styrenes, and vinyl esters of C.sub.2 -C.sub.12 carboxylic acids, and (c) 0-40 wt % of functionalized comonomers selected from the group consisting of functionalized (meth)acrylic acid esters and amides, and vinyl heterocyclic compounds, all of the above amounts based on the weight of the graft copolymer. The composition is especially useful as a lubricating oil additive with viscosity index-improving effect.
