Abstract:
The invention provides a method and apparatus for producing a synthesis gas from a variety of hydrocarbons. The apparatus (device) consists of a semi-batch, non-constant volume reactor to generate a synthesis gas. While the apparatus feeds mixtures of air, steam, and hydrocarbons into a cylinder where work is performed on the fluid by a piston to adiabatically raise its temperature without heat transfer from an external source.
Abstract:
A stand is provided for supporting at least one gaming device having a bottom through which coins may be released. The stand has an interior area divided into at least two compartments, one compartment comprising a drawer area and the other comprising a coin compartment. A drawer is moveably positioned in the drawer area. An opening is provided through the top for allowing coins released from the gaming machine to be directed into the coin compartment. In one embodiment, the stand is configured to accept two pairs of gaming machines facing in opposing directions and includes a pair of drawers at each end and a centrally located coin compartment and electrical area. In other embodiments, the stand is configured to support two gaming machines and includes a drawer at each end, or is configured to support a single gaming machine and includes a single drawer and coin compartment located side-by-side.
Abstract:
This invention relates to non-aqueous formulations comprising resins and/or polymers with a higher solids content and a solvent which is a diether of the general formula: R.O.R..sup.1.O.R.sup.2, wherein each of R, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 is a straight or branched chain, saturated aliphatic hydrocarbyl group having from 1 to 5 carbon atoms and in which R and R.sup.2 are the same or different alkyl groups and wherein R.sup.1 is an alkylene group, said formulation containing less than 25% w/w of solvents or diluents having free hydroxyl groups. The formulations are particularly useful in vehicle refinishes.
Abstract:
An isobutenylcyclohexene (IBCH) is produced by reacting under disproportionation conditions an isoolefin with a vinylcyclohexene (VCH), or by reacting an isoolefin and a compound derivable from a VCH by homodisproportionation involving the elimination of ethylene, in the presence of a supported rhenium heptoxide disproportionation catalyst promoted with at least one transition metal in the form of the elemental metal and/or an oxide thereof, for example either copper or zinc.
Abstract:
A rotor assembly and a method for fabricating the same are provided in which a solid rotor ring is formed at either end of a stack of laminated discs, the solid rotor rings yielding improved electrical and mechanical characteristics in a low weight assembly. The solid rotor rings are fabricated by brazing slugs between the end portions of the rotor bars, the braze joints contacting a large percentage (at least 90 %) of the rotor bar end portions.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for storing and restoring digital data. In some implementations, a method is provided. The method includes receiving, while a current view of an application is displayed in a user interface, a first user input requesting that a history view associated with the current view of the application be displayed, retrieve data associated with the history view, determining a presentation format for the data, and displaying the history view in response to the first user input in accordance with the presentation format, the history view including data associated with at least a first visual representation of an earlier version of the current view of the application.

Abstract:
The present invention provides methods for diagnosing mental disorders. The invention also provides methods of identifying modulators of mental disorders as well as methods of using these modulators to treat patients suffering from mental disorders.
Abstract:
A hydronic heating system that includes a liquid-filled conduit and a combustion chamber enclosure having a plurality of panels that define a combustion chamber for the combustion of fuel to generate heat. At least one of the panels and a portion of the liquid-filled conduits are integrally formed together. The at least one panel absorbs heat generated in the combustion chamber and transfers the absorbed heat to the liquid in the conduit. The heated liquid may be transferred to a remote location where the heat is removed from the liquid using a heat exchanger. The at least one panel and the portion of the liquid-filled conduit may be integrally formed using a moldable material such as a ceramic fiber and a binder, and molded using such processes as compression molding or vacuum molding. The use of moldable may reduce condensation in or around the combustion chamber enclosure.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for storing and restoring backup data. One method includes receiving, while a current view of an application is displayed in a user interface, a first user input requesting a history view associated with the current view of the application. The history view is displayed in response to the first user input, the history view including at least a first visual representation of an earlier version of the current view of the application, the earlier version including a first element. A second user input is received while the history view is displayed. The second user input requesting that the current view of the application be modified according to the earlier version, at least with regard to the first element. The current view of the application is modified in response to the second user input according to the earlier version, at least with regard to the first element.
