Abstract:
An improved device having a size suitable for handheld use and being used for providing the illusion that a first object has disappeared from view. The first pouch being provided on a first side of a rotatable floor by the timed rotation of the rotatable floor to a second side. The rotatable floor revealing a second object in a second pouch that is provided thereon. The device being operable by a control unit including a microprocessor in communication with a timer mechanism for the motorized rotational movement of the rotatable floor. A display screen having a user interface is used to select the timer parameters for the first and second rotation of the rotational floor.

Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for storing and restoring digital data. In some implementations, a method is provided. The method includes receiving, while a current view of an application is displayed in a user interface, a first user input requesting that a history view associated with the current view of the application be displayed, retrieve data associated with the history view, determining a presentation format for the data, and displaying the history view in response to the first user input in accordance with the presentation format, the history view including data associated with at least a first visual representation of an earlier version of the current view of the application.
Abstract:
A system and method disperses a sudden increase in heat generated by one battery cell to a large area including multiple battery cells, thereby preventing the sudden increase from being absorbed primarily by a small number of other battery cells, such as a single battery cell, that could otherwise cause the other battery cells to fail or release their own heat.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are provides for storing and restoring digital data. In some implementations, a system is provided. The system includes a backup component, the backup component for capturing a state of a view of a user interface of an application as part of a backup operation and a first interface coupling the backup component and the application, the interface providing a communication link between the backup component and the application such that a backup user interface can display the captured state of the view. Other embodiments of this aspect include corresponding systems, apparatus, computer program products, and computer readable media.
Abstract:
A cementitious composite article incorporating a powder coating on at least one surface is provided. The composite article includes a surface treatment adapted to facilitate application of the powder coating onto the article. The surface treatment can include modifications to surface porosity, surface, and/or application of a sealer to the surface so as to make the cementitious surface more conducive to powder coating. One method of manufacturing the cementitious composite article includes first applying a sealer coating to a surface of a fiber cement substrate, partially curing the substrate to a gel-like state, applying a powder coating to the article, processing the article to a curing device in which the powder coating and sealer coating are co-cured to form a hardened film.
Abstract:
A method of forming articles made of an inorganic fiber material using compression molding. In one respect, a method of forming an article, wherein the method includes providing a molding composition comprising inorganic fiber and an inorganic binder, and compression molding the molding composition into the article. In another respect, the method including providing a molding composition comprising inorganic fibers and a binder, and compression molding the molding composition into the article, wherein at least 75% by weight of the molded article is inorganic material. In some embodiments the cured binder is capable of withstanding temperatures of at least 600° F. without significant degradation or deterioration due to heat. Articles made by the use of such methods and a molding composition for use in compression molding an article are also included.
Abstract:
A fireplace includes an outer enclosure having a front panel defining a front of the fireplace, and a combustion chamber enclosure defining a combustion chamber and including a front surface. The combustion chamber enclosure is positioned within the outer enclosure at a location spaced rearward from the front panel of the outer enclosure. The fireplace includes a glass panel secured to the front surface of the combustion chamber enclosure, and a surround member adapted and configured to be positioned between the front panel of the outer enclosure and the glass panel to cover the glass frame from view. Controls for the fireplace are positioned between the outer enclosure and the combustion chamber enclosure.
Abstract:
A trimmable surround and methods for creating the surround for a heat generating device. The trimmable surround includes a molded portion having a ceramic fiber and a binder and an attachment portion. A portion of the molded member is removable to alter a size of the molded member. An attachment portion coupled to the molded portion allows attachment of the trimmable surround to the heat generating device.
Abstract:
The invention generally relates to a fireplace surround for attachment to a fireplace. The surround may include first and second side members formed from a molded material, and a top member formed from the molded material that extends between the first and second side members. The top member defines a cavity that is in fluid communication with a vent of the fireplace to collect heated air from the fireplace. An opening formed in the top member facilitates movement of heated air collected in the cavity to pass through the cavity. The surround may also include a shield member that direct the heated air from the fireplace vent to the exhaust opening in the top member, and an insulating member that dissipates heat in the top member.
