Abstract:
An educational exercising machine is provided wherein a plurality of answers produce different answers for the same problem presented by a teacher, correct and erroneous answers are printed on a recording paper with different colours and the percentages of the correct answers are printed on the same recording paper. Further, 100% correct answers are displayed by a visible display means.
Abstract:
In a fluorescent electronic tube of the type wherein a layer of fluorescent substance is coated upon an anode electrode or an insulator and is excited to luminesce by electrons from a cathode electrode, there is provided an intermediate layer between the layer of fluorescent substance and the anode electrode or insulator. The intermediate layer is composed of a metallic conductor or a semiconductor material which is inert to the fluorescent substance and does not interfere with the flow of electrons.
Abstract:
In a liquid crystal display device of the type wherein a liquid crystal is interposed between a pair of confronting electrodes and a voltage is impressed across the electrodes for varying the orientation of the axes of the molecules of the liquid crystal, one of the electrodes is comprised by a pair of comb shaped electrodes disposed to correspond to a desired pattern and the teeth of the comb shaped electrodes interleave with each other.
Abstract:
In an electric display tube comprising an evacuated envelope containing a display electrode and terminals connected to the display electrode and extending through the envelope, the envelope is comprised by a metal cap provided with a transparent window and a flange and metal base welded to the flange.

In a dispersion type electroluminescent element comprising a pair of electrodes and an electroluminescent layer sandwiched between the electrodes and including an electroluminescent phosphor dispersed in an organic or inorganic binder, the luminescent layer comprises a mixture of 100 parts, by weight, of an electroluminescent phosphor, 30 to 50 parts, by weight, of a liquid crystal and 10 to 40 parts, by weight, based on the sum of the parts of the electroluminescent phosphor and the liquid crystal, of an inorganic binder.
Abstract:
A pattern generating system for use with a display device including a matrix electrode assembly comprises a plurality of pattern signal generators for displaying different patterns on the matrix electrode assembly. Means is provided to selectively drive one of the plurality of pattern signal generators for displaying a selected one of the patterns or simultaneously driving a plurality of pattern signal generators for displaying modified patterns on the matrix electrode assembly by synthesizing different patterns. Alternatively, a partial pattern signal generator is added which is driven concurrently with one of the plurality of pattern signal generators for displaying a modified pattern.
Abstract:
In a composite fluorescent display tube of the type comprising an insulator substrate, a plurality of display members mounted on one surface of the substrate, each of the display members including a plurality of fluorescent segments which are selectively energized to display a selected letter, a filament confronting these plurality of display members, and a evacuated envelope containing the above described component parts, there are provided a plurality of independent electrode structures, one for each one of the display members, each electrode structure including a letter forming electrode having a plurality of perforations corresponding to the fluorescent segments, a mesh control grid electrode and a frame shaped electrode interposed between the letter forming electrode and the control grid electrode for connecting them into a unitary structure; and conductors common to corresponding ones of the fluorescent segments of the display members, said conductors extending along the opposite surface of the substrate.
Abstract:
In a cathode ray tube wherein an electron beam emitted from a cathode electrode is focused by an electron lens and deflected by a deflecting device upon a flourescent screen, a character forming means is provided across the path of the electron beam comprising an insulating substrate and electrode elements formed on the opposite sides of the substrate which are arranged in a matrix. The substrate and electrode elements are formed with aligned perforations at respective cross points of the matrix and the perforations of the electrode elements at selected cross points are caused to create positive field to permit passage of the electron beam to display a selected character, numeral or pattern.
Abstract:
