    摘要: A detector (100) comprises an upstream ionization chamber (110), a downstream detector chamber (120) and a signal processor (160). The ionization chamber (110) comprises a first electrode (111), a second electrode (112) and an ionization chamber gas (114). The detector chamber (120) comprises a converter unit (130) adapted to convert incident radiation (6) into electrons (8), an electron amplification device (140) adapted to produce further electrons (9) from the electrons (8), a read-out device (150) adapted to generate a signal representative of the incident radiation (6) and a detector chamber gas (121). The signal processor (160) is adapted to generate a corrected signal by processing the signal representative of the incident radiation (6) based on a current signal representative of an ionization current measured between the first electrode (111) and the second electrode (112) and induced by the incident radiation (6).

    摘要: A process for manufacturing a cathodoluminescent capsule including at least one envelope, a cold cathode, an anode and a grid.The process comprises at least the steps of: depositing luminophore and reflective layers on an internal wall; depositing a conductive layer at least contacting the luminophore layer; providing a cap having a tube including at least three metal conductors, each being respectively welded to the anode, cathode and grid; assembling the cap with the envelope so as to form the capsule, the anode being in contact with the conductive layer and the luminophore layer opposed to the cathode; vacuuming the capsule via the tube; sealing the capsule by closing an end of the cap tube.

    摘要: A method for reducing contamination in a silicon membrane mask in a lithography system is described. The method includes: doping the top surface of the silicon membrane mask with boron to lower the electrical resistance of the mask; subsequently metalizing the surface of the mask to further lower its electrical resistance; and, finally, applying a voltage between opposite surfaces of the mask, the voltage generating an electric field that passes through the membrane mask, heating the membrane mask. The method further includes: calculating distortions in the shape of each of the patterns within the mask caused by heating the membrane mask; compensating for the proximity of other shapes positioned in the vicinity of each of the patterns; and appropriately modifying the shape of each of the patterns. The above described method can be equally applied to an e-beam system or to an ion-beam lithography system, and both, to stencil masks and to scattering masks.

    摘要: An exposure arrangement for use in a computer-aided design system to produce masks. The arrangement includes a cathode-ray tube which produces an image of the mask on the screen of the tube, and an optical system which projects the image of the mask onto a substrate which is to be exposed. The cathode-ray tube is a high-brightness tube in which the screen is provided with a phosphor which emits in an ultraviolet spectrum and with a cooling circuit for the phosphor. The optical system is designed for use in the ultraviolet spectrum and operates on the ultraviolet image provided by the screen of the high-brightness tube.

    摘要: The invention relates to an image detector for a camera operating in a "day" mode and a "night" mode. The detector comprises an evacuated envelope containing a semitransparent photocathode for the transmission of incident photons or for converting photons into photoelectrons, depending on whether the mode is "day" or "night", respectively. The detector also comprises a detector capable of converting the incident photons or the photoelectrons into an electrical image signal. The image detector further includes electronic means for focussing the photoelectrons onto the detector, and optical means for focussing the photons onto the photocathode or onto the detector. The photocathode comprises a thin layer having at least one active layer of a III-V n-type material. The detector consists of a two-dimensional charge transfer device. The electronic means for focussing the photoelectrons on the charge transfer device comprises proximity focussing means.

    摘要: A multiple beam cathode ray tube having an improved cathode-grid structure which facilitates grid lead connections and mounting. The cathode means has a plurality of openings which are arranged in an array pattern which is identical to the desired electron beam array pattern, and has an emitter means associated with each opening for emitting a group of electrons. The grid means is located behind instead of in front of the cathode means and is comprised of a plurality of grid elements mounted on a substrate. When appropriately biased, the grid elements cause groups of electrons which are emitted by the respective emitter means to flow through the corresponding openings in the cathode in the direction of the screen, thus establishing the required electron beams.
