摘要： A composite transformer, having first and second inductors and a transformer, includes a transformer core that has a core leg around which portions of first and second windings are wound, and a base fixing the core leg, a first inductor core that has a core leg around which a portion of the first winding is wound and a base fixing the core leg, and a second inductor core that has a core leg around which a portion of the second winding is wound and a base fixing the core leg. The first and second windings are wound in a manner that flux are cancelled with each other, and are wound around the core leg of the transformer core in a manner alternately overlapping with each other, and are wound around respective core legs of the first and second inductor cores so as to be apart from each other to suppress any interference of magnetic fluxes.

摘要： When a control means turns on a pre-charging contactor, an AC current from an AC power source is converted into a DC current by a switching circuit to charge a smoothing capacitor. However, the smoothing capacitor cannot be charged completely due to the operation of a capacitor of an LC filter. Therefore, when the voltage of the smoothing capacitor detected by a voltage detecting means exceeds a predetermined value, the smoothing capacitor is further charged by bringing the switching circuit into a boosting operation. Thus, even if an LC relay required in the prior art for invalidating the capacitor of the LC filter is not provided, it is possible to completely charge the smoothing capacitor, thereby providing a decrease in the number of parts and an enhancement in reliability of the pre-charging circuit, and preventing a reduction in performance of the LC filter due to a loss in the LC relay.

摘要： A legged walking robot such as a two-legged walking robot has a plurality of movable legs and a plurality of foot soles mounted respectively on distal ends of the movable legs by respective foot joints. Each of the foot soles has a curved surface disposed on at least a portion of a peripheral edge thereof. The curved surface is shaped such that the foot joint follows a predetermined curved path along a forward direction in which the legged walking robot walks. The foot sole also includes at least one projection on one or each of leading and trailing ends of the foot sole in the forward direction. The projection is movable into and out of a projecting position from the foot sole, but is normally urged into the projecting position to support the foot sole stably on the terrain.

摘要： In an apparatus for heating a battery of a vehicle, having an electric rotating machine and buck-boost converter between the battery and rotating machine to step up/down voltage outputted from the battery to be supplied to the rotating machine and step up/down voltage generated by the rotating machine to be supplied to the battery, it is configured to have a first capacitor interposed between wires connecting the battery to the converter, a second capacitor interposed between wires connecting the converter to the rotating machine, and a heating controller to control operation of the converter to generate current similar to rectangular wave current and input/output the current between the battery and the second capacitor through the first capacitor so as to heat the battery. With this, it becomes possible to efficiently heat the battery so that the battery can output expected power, without adversely affecting the size of the apparatus.
