Abstract:
The correspondence between a plurality of virtual storage positions in a virtual volume for logically holding a snapshot image of a main volume in which data elements transmitted from a higher-level device are written and a plurality of address information elements indicating a plurality of actual storage positions of a plurality of data elements constituting the snapshot image is managed. In the initial backup, all the data elements stored in all the actual storage positions indicated by a plurality of address information elements are backed up, then storage positions where a difference has occurred between the virtual volume and the backup destination storage device is managed, and in the next and subsequent backups, data elements on the storage positions specified from the address information elements corresponding to the differentially managed storage positions are backed up.
Abstract:
A storage system maintains a journal and a snapshot of one or more data volumes. Two journal entry types are maintained, an AFTER journal entry and a BEFORE journal entry. Two modes of data recovery are provided: “fast” recovery and “undo-able” recovery. A combination of both recovery modes allows the user to quickly recover a targeted data state.
Abstract:
When viewed from the upper face of a cylinder head in which an intake port communicating with a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine is formed, a starting point of the port is defined as a point of intersection of the streamline of the intake port and an inlet-side opening plane of the intake port as projected on a horizontal plane, and an end point is defined as a point of intersection of the streamline of the port and the center axis of an intake valve as projected on the horizontal plane. The starting point is located closer to the center of the chamber than a straight line that contains the end point and extends in a direction orthogonal to the axis of the crankshaft on the plane, and the streamline of the port projected on the horizontal plane is curved toward the center of the chamber, with respect to a straight line that contains the starting point and extends in a direction orthogonal to the axis of the crankshaft on the plane.
Abstract:
An antenna element made of an electrically conductive material pattern is printed and formed on a face of a casing made of an electrically nonconductive material having a circuit board housed therein, and the antenna element and the circuit board are electrically connected to each other by a connecting element.
Abstract:
A radio apparatus having a printed board, an antenna element and an isolating member is provided. The antenna element is connected to the printed board. The isolating member is formed by layering a magnetic layer made of magnetic material and a dielectric layer made of dielectric material. The isolating member is folded and arranged in such a way that the magnetic layer is placed no less than twice between the printed board and the antenna element.
Abstract:
A magnetic member is interposed and arranged between an antenna element and a printed circuit board, and an air member or a dielectric member is interposed between the antenna element and the magnetic member. The magnetic member is constituted of a nanogranular structure in which magnetic nanoparticles with ferromagnetism are three-dimensionally dispersed and arranged in an insulating matrix substrate.
Abstract:
A wireless communication device includes: a case that includes a dielectric member made of a first dielectric material, the dielectric member being coated with a coating layer made of a second dielectric material; a wireless communication circuit that is housed in the case; an antenna element that is electrically connected to the wireless communication circuit, the antenna element being made of a conductive material and provided on a surface of the dielectric member; and an adhesive layer that is disposed between the antenna element and the dielectric member to adhere the antenna element onto the dielectric member, the adhesive layer being made of a third dielectric material.
Abstract:
A second storage system (SS2) comprises a plurality of tapes, a first storage device capable of performing random access at a rate higher than the tapes, and a virtual storage device emulating the first storage device. A first storage system (SS1) comprises a second storage device and a third storage device that has the virtual storage device mapped therewith. The SS2 reserves a storage space on the first storage device and reads data from the tape corresponding to the virtual storage device into the storage space. The SS1 performs copying between the second storage device and third storage device and, in this process, sends a command for access generated in the third storage device to the virtual storage device. When receiving the Access Command corresponding to the virtual storage device, the SS2 accesses the storage space.
Abstract:
The present invention aims to protect data by using WORM (Write Once Read Many) features. On receiving an instruction to write data to a virtual tape, from a host computer 2 via an FC interface 11, a VTL controller 10 reads out WORM information and access information each corresponding to the virtual tape for which the instruction was made, from a tape management table 231 and a WORM management table 232, respectively. If the WORM setting is not made for the WORM information that was read out, or if the access information indicates writing data is allowed, then an instruction is given to a disc device 30 to write data to a magnetic disc that corresponds to the virtual tape for which the write instruction was made.
Abstract:
A mobile communication terminal comprises a first antenna element and a second antenna element. The first antenna element is arranged over the surface of the circuit substrate contained in the terminal cabinet, the surface being located remotest from the ear of the speaker on the phone. The second antenna element is arranged over the remotest surface and adapted to be pulled in the inside of the terminal cabinet or extended from the terminal cabinet, the second antenna element being electromagnetically coupled with one of the ends of the first antenna element in a state of being extended from the terminal cabinet.
