Abstract:
Provided is a composite comprising a polymer and a plurality of surface-modified hexagonal boron nitride particles dispersed therewithin. Suitable polymers include polyimide and epoxy. A process is also provided. The surface modified hexagonal boron nitride particles comprise surface-bonded substituted phenyl radicals
Abstract:
Epoxy compositions exhibiting low viscosity in the uncured state and low coefficient of thermal expansion in the cured state are provided. Also provided are processes for making the epoxy compositions. The low dielectric constant compositions are well-suited for use in multi-layer printed circuit boards. The desired properties are achieved by employment of a bimodal distribution of nano-scale fillers in the epoxy compositions.
Abstract:
A cover of an electronic device has a body inside and is penetrable by light yield from an illumination device. The body has an inner surface having a region impenetrable by light as a light-blocking region and the remaining region penetrable by light as a light-passing region. The body further has an outer surface having a region impenetrable by light as another light-blocking region and the remaining region penetrable by light as another light-passing region. The light-blocking region of the outer surface correspond to the light-passing region of the inner surface in shape, but in a size that is smaller, so that when light pass through the body, light can give an effect that the shape of the light-blocking region looks three-dimensional.
Abstract:
Design compilation software uses statistical analysis techniques to account for variations in device attributes. A compilation phase determines statistical attributes of edges and other elements of device, such as the mean and variance values of attributes. A compilation phase evaluates the suitability of a potential configuration of the device using a cost function. The cost function can be based on one or more independent criteria of the design, such wiring or routing costs, timing costs, and power consumption costs. The compilation phase can include clustering, placement, and routing of the design. One or more of the cost function criteria can include statistical attributes of the device. The compilation software can use statistical attributes of the device to predict device yields for a design. The compilation software can also predict device yields of a design using devices of different speed bin classifications.
Abstract:
A laptop computer is disclosed. The laptop computer comprises a processor, a memory, a graphics controller, a display panel and a display housing. The display housing is for holding the display panel. The display housing has an opening for fixing a replaceable camera module or a replaceable cover module selectively. When the replaceable camera module is fixed to the opening, the replaceable camera module is electrically connected with the graphics controller and provides pixel data. The graphics controller then drives the display panel to display the pixel data.
Abstract:
Cross-linked polymers comprising an anhydride or partially hydrolyzed anhydride functionalized polymer having oligomeric polyamic acid cross-links are provided. In solution, a polymer of the invention forms a formable gel. The formable gel is useful for forming shaped articles that are useful for electronics applications.
Abstract:
Disclosed are compositions prepared by free-radical-driven grafting onto hydrocarbons or hydrocarbon ethers of olefinically unsaturated fluorocarbons containing sulfonyl fluoride, fluorosulfonate, fluorosulfonimide, or fluorosulfonyl methide groups, wherein the grafting step is followed by a hydrolysis step in the case of sulfonyl fluoride.
Abstract:
Provided according to the invention are cross-linked polymers comprising an anhydride or partially hydrolyzed anhydride functionalized polymer having oligomeric polyimide cross-links, providing a polymeric composite on a molecular scale, and shaped articles made therefrom. In some embodiments the shaped articles are particularly well suited for electronics applications. The shaped articles are characterized by low CTE (coefficient of thermal expansion), low dielectric constant (Dk), low dissipation factor (Df), high strength, high modulus and high toughness.
