    摘要: The present invention relates to a method for determining precoding weights between a base station and one user equipment in a communication network. The base station is provided with an antenna structure having multiple antennas, and the antenna structure provides coverage in a coverage area. The precoding weights are stored in a codebook available to the base station and the user equipment. The method comprises: selecting to use a part of the coverage area; determining, at the base station, a subset of precoding weights stored in the codebook generating at least one precoding beam within the selected part of the coverage area; and informing the one user equipment of the determined subset of pre-coding weights generating the at least one precoding beam within the selected part of the coverage area.

    摘要: The disclosure relates to an intermediate node arranged to relay information between a donor node and at least one served node, and comprises a served antenna arrangement that communicates by means of at least a first and second electrically steerable antenna radiation lobe. During a first mode of operation, all antenna radiation lobes are directed towards a first donor node. During a second mode of operation, the antenna radiation lobes are directed such that the intermediate node is in contact with both the first donor node and the second donor node. During a third mode of operation, all antenna radiation lobes are directed towards the second donor node. A first polarization is associated with each lobe directed towards the second donor node during the second mode of operation and a second polarization is associated with each lobe directed towards the first donor node during the second mode of operation.

    摘要: An antenna arrangement including at least two antenna functions arranged to cover a certain angular sector, each antenna function comprising a corresponding antenna port. The antenna arrangement is configured to perform: a first direction of arrival (DOA) estimation for a transmitting device at a first frequency, and a second DOA estimation for the transmitting device at a second frequency, wherein the second frequency has a larger magnitude than the first frequency, and wherein at least one second frequency grating lobe is apparent in the angular sector at the second frequency. The antenna arrangement is configured to: distinguish the at least one second frequency grating lobe from a second frequency main lobe using results from the first DOA estimation, and identify a pointing direction of the second frequency main lobe as a resulting DOA estimation. Related methods are also described.
