摘要: A navigation system provides guidance for performing a U-turn. The navigation system includes a processing unit, which acquires guidance route information and road information to determine whether the guidance route requires a turning around in a divided two-lane road. If a turning around is required, the processing unit specifies an extension distance of a connection road of the divided two-lane road. U-turn guidance is provided if the extension distance is at or below a predetermined length, or otherwise, to guidance is provided to prompt a double turn.

摘要: An electric vehicle has a first bracket (23) that supports a battery unit (10)-side end of a power unit (16) and extends in a width direction of the vehicle. The first bracket (23) is coupled to a vehicle body through a first coupling section (26) formed in one end of the first bracket (23) and a second coupling section (26) formed in the other end, and the power unit (16) is coupled to the first bracket (23) through at least two inner coupling sections (24) that are located more inside than the first and second coupling sections (26) as considered in the width direction of the vehicle. A first fragile portion (48) is formed between the first coupling section (26) and the inner coupling section (24) closest to the first coupling section (26), and between the second coupling section (26) and the inner coupling section (24) closest to the second coupling section (26). The first fragile portion (48) is broken by a smaller impact load at the time of collision with the side where the power unit (16) is installed than at the time of collision with the side where the power unit (16) is not installed.

摘要: An image forming apparatus where the resistivity value of magnetic carrier in a developer of a two-component developing device is higher than that of magnetic particles for charging in a magnetic brush contact charger, the charging performance of the magnetic brush charging is prevented from being lowered even when the magnetic carrier is mixed into the magnetic brush contact charger, and thus, a satisfactory image without fog, unevenness in the image, and the like can be obtained for a long time even when it is applied to a cleanerless system according to the cleaning method simultaneous with developing. In case A=log Rv/Rc, B=lv/lc, &agr;=⅕·B/A·lv, and &bgr;=B/A·lv wherein Rc is the volume resistivity of the magnetic particles of the magnetic brush charger, lc is the average particle diameter of the magnetic particles, Rv is the volume resistivity of the magnetic carrier of the two-component developer, and lv is the average particle diameter of the magnetic carrier, when A/B≧2, C≧5% wherein C (%) is the ratio in volume of magnetic particles having the particle diameters ranging from &agr; to &bgr; the whole magnetic particles.

摘要: A detector for detecting status quantities in processes of an image forming apparatus and a correction mechanism for changing parameters are connected to a controller. By virtue of this arrangement, the amount of current associated with a primary charging device in a latent-image process, the surface potential of a photoreceptor drum and a voltage correction coefficient are fed into the controller as status quantities. By using the entered status quantities as well as membership functions and fuzzy rules that have been stored in an internal memory of the controller, the controller executes fuzzy reasoning and outputs a signal indicating the failure rate or rate of erroneous setting of each processing element.
