摘要： A 3D subtitle process device causes a 3D display device to three-dimensionally display subtitles each indicated in corresponding subtitle data, including the following units. A setting control unit controls subtitle display setting regarding a subtitle display method performed by the 3D display device. A depth correction unit corrects at least one depth information included in corresponding subtitle data, so that a subtitle that starts display earlier among the subtitles is three-dimensionally displayed to appear deeper, when the subtitle display setting instructs a change of the subtitle display method and subtitles each indicated in corresponding subtitle data are to be displayed temporally overlapping on a screen. A subtitle drawing unit generates a 3D subtitle image from the pieces of the subtitle data in which at least one depth information has been corrected, so as to cause the 3D display device to three-dimensionally display the subtitles.

摘要： An external speaker control apparatus causes only one of an internal speaker and an external speaker to output audio when a power supply of the external speaker control apparatus which controls the external speaker changes from an off state to an on state, the external speaker being a speaker outside a video and audio output apparatus. The external speaker control apparatus includes a microcomputer for detecting the change of the power supply of an amplifier from an off state to an on state and a HDMI/CEC communication unit or outputting an instruction requesting output of information which indicates the audio output mode to the video and audio output apparatus while at the same time receiving the information indicating the audio detects the change of the power supply from an off state to an on state, wherein the microcomputer controls the output of the audio from the external speaker according to the information indicating the audio output mode.

摘要： This display apparatus includes a receiver that receives a broadcast signal and extracts program scheduling information from the received broadcast signal, a program table generator that generates a program table in a selected time zone selected by a user, on the basis of the program scheduling information extracted by the receiver, a display that displays the program table generated by the program table generator, and a controller that controls the program table generator. The program table displayed in the display includes a time axis indicating broadcast schedule time and a program display section that displays program frames indicating information about broadcast-scheduled programs along the time axis. On the basis of the program scheduling information, program frames indicating broadcast-scheduled programs firmly scheduled in the selected time zone are displayed as first program frames in the program display section. On the basis of the program scheduling information, a determination is made as to whether there is an empty display region where no first program frame is present in the program display section. When there is an empty display region, a program frame indicating a broadcast-scheduled program firmly scheduled in a time zone out of the selected time zone is displayed as a second program frame in the empty display region.

摘要： A main device receives program data provided through broadcasting, internally stores the received program data, and transfers the stored program data to a portable device. Herein, one program data is constituted by a plurality of program components (video, audio, closed caption, and the like). The main device assigns transfer priorities to each program component constituting one program data, and then discretely transfers the program components respectively in the direction of a time axis in the order of the assigned transfer priorities. By discretely transferring data, some of the program components may possibly be entirely transferred to the portable device even when data transfer is discontinued in a short time. Therefore, users can enjoy the entire program by playing-back the already-transferred program components.
