Abstract: A scope device includes a shaft, a deflectable portion, and a handle portion. The shaft is inserted through a body lumen to a target area within a body. The shaft defines first and second lumens extending along a proximal portion thereof. The first and second lumens are merged to form a common lumen along a distal portion thereof via a fitting having a structure which, when connected to the first and second lumens, converge the first and second lumens toward the common lumen. The deflectable portion is connected to the distal end of the shaft and includes a channel aligned with and in communication with the common lumen. The handle portion includes a connector having a first hub including a first channel open to and in communication with the first lumen and a second hub including a second channel open to and in communication with the second lumen.

Abstract: A ureteroscope system includes a handle; an elongated shaft extends from the handle to a distal end and includes a working channel which is opened at the distal end; an external member extends from a proximal end to a distal end and is coupled to the shaft, the member includes a hub and a tube defining a first external channel; and a coupling mechanism defines first and second tubes and is coupled the distal end of the member to the distal end of the shaft. The first tube defines a first lumen and the second tube defines a second lumen which is sized and shaped to receive a distal end of the member. A proximal portion of the first tube is sized and shaped to be inserted into a distal portion of the shaft such that the first lumen is opened to the working channel.

Abstract: A fluid management system may include a fluid pump capable of generating a pulsatile flow of fluid, a fluid pathway for transporting the pulsatile flow of fluid from a fluid source through the fluid pump to a medical device, a dampening element in fluid communication with the fluid pathway and operably independent of the fluid pump, the dampening element comprising one or more barrels, each barrel including a movable seal member disposed within the barrel and a biasing member disposed within the barrel and engaged with the movable seal member, the dampening element being responsive to pressure fluctuations of the pulsatile fluid flow to actively dampen the pressure fluctuations, and a fluid flow sensor disposed along the fluid pathway between the dampening element and the medical device to measure a flow rate of the smoothened pulsatile fluid flow in both flow directions.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to the field of medical devices. In particular, the present disclosure relates to delivering a variable length stent within a patient. In one example, a stent may include a body comprising coils about a longitudinal axis of the stent and along the length of the stent between a proximal end and a distal end in a substantially helical pattern. The coils may define a lumen along the longitudinal axis through the center of the body. A distal tube may have a wall extending from the distal end of the body. A first aperture may extend through the wall of the distal tube into the lumen. A distal retention member may extend from the distal tube. A distal suture may have a mid-portion. The mid-portion may extend through the first aperture.

Abstract: An endoscopic deployment device includes a body mountable on an endoscopic device, a communication interface, and a motor. The body has a movable carrier couplable to an elongated end effector device. The effector device has an end effector shaft covered by an outer sheath and an end effector extending from a distal end of the shaft. The sheath is sized and shaped for insertion through a working channel of an endoscopic shaft of the endoscopic device. The body has a carrier channel sized for the carrier to slide therein. The end effecter is actuatable between open and closed positions by sliding the carrier in the carrier channel which in turn slides the sheath over the end effector shaft to uncover/cover the end effector. Rotation of a drive shaft of the motor is sliding the carrier in the carrier channel and actuating the end effector in response to a signal.
