    Abstract: A method for communicating between base stations of two different wireless communication networks may include (1) transmitting a setup request message from a first base station of a first wireless communication network to a second base station of a second wireless communication network, the setup request message including a first user equipment (UE) device context format of the first wireless communication network and a second UE device context format of the second wireless communication network; (2) receiving, at the first base station, a setup response from the second base station, the setup response including a union of the first UE device context format and the second UE device context format; and (3) at the first base station, communicating with the second base station according to the union of the first UE device context format and the second UE device context format.

    Abstract: A system and method for reducing latency in a wireless-to-wired backhaul environment, such as a LTE-Backhaul environment. In the LTE-Backhaul embodiment, the system and method rely on a modification to the eNodeB (eNB). This modification causes the eNB to generate a bandwidth report (BWR) upon receipt of a buffer status report (BSR) associated with an RRC encapsulated NSA signaling. The BWR provides a notification to the backhaul system that SCTP signaling, which is associated with the RRC encapsulated NSA signaling, is forthcoming. In addition, the present system and method provides for a periodic transmission of a grant (e.g., a MAP in a DOCSIS embodiment) in the backhaul portion. The backhaul grant provides for the modem to immediately forward the BWR to the modem termination system (MTS) upon receipt of the BWR such that the MTS may prepare a grant for the forth coming SCTP signaling.

    Abstract: A method for detecting aggressive signal transmission signatures in a wireless communication network is provided. The network includes at least one cooperative device, an access point, and at least one non-cooperative device. The method includes steps of generating a matrix of at least 8 bits configured to register each instance of at least one of a clear-to-send frame and a request-to-send frame transmitted between the at least one cooperative device and the access point during a specified duration, calculating a cumulative distribution function based on the registered instances within the generated matrix for a probability of the presence of an aggressive transmission signal by the at least one non-cooperative device within a measurable vicinity of one or more of the cooperative device and the access point, and determining the presence of the aggressive transmission signal based on the calculated cumulative distribution function being greater than a predetermined threshold.

    Abstract: Systems and methods presented herein provide latency reduction in wireless service through a communication link. In one embodiment, a method includes linking a modem to a Modem Termination System (MTS) via the communication link and detecting, at the modem, a message from a wireless service link indicating that a user equipment (UE) has data to transmit to a Mobile Network Operator (MNO). The method also includes requesting a data transfer from the modem to the MTS in response to detecting the message from the wireless service link and processing the request from the modem at the MTS. The method also includes granting the request while the UE is negotiating with the wireless service link to transmit the data of the UE.
