Abstract: Methods and a system described herein manage the power of IoTs and smart devices operating on a wireless network. When an access point coupled to the network receives a low power indication from a battery-powered IoT or smart device, it may take several actions in response. In one case, it extends the target wake time to become longer and longer to preserve the device's battery. In addition, the device changes its operation to conserve power. In another case, it provides power over the wireless network to the wireless device. The access point restores the target wake time when the device returns to a power-ok condition. The device resumes operation according to the parameters in effect before the low power condition occurs.

Abstract: Federated multi-access edge computing availability notifications may be provided by: transmitting, from a User Equipment (UE) to an Access Point (AP) of a wireless network, an attach request for the wireless network that includes authentication credentials for an identity provider independent from the wireless network to authenticate the UE to the wireless network; receiving, at the UE via the AP, an authentication success message for the wireless network from the independent identity provider; transmitting, from the UE to the AP, a Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) query; and receiving, at the UE from the AP, a MEC response that identifies MEC resources that are available to the UE based on an identity for the UE confirmed by the identity provider to the wireless network.

Abstract: Embodiments herein describe disconnecting, by an access node, a first device having a first media access control (MAC) address due to a network violation and receiving, by the access node, information about a second device having a second MAC address different from the first MAC address. In one embodiment, the information is generated by a certificate server based on a token generated by the second device. Further, when the access node determines, based on the information, that the second device is the first device, the access node denies a connection request from the second device.

Abstract: Aspects described herein include a method and related network device and computer program product. The method includes receiving a neighbor report that indicates whether a first network device in an environment is advertising broadcast services and generating, using the neighbor report, a broadcast optimization map that indicates a set of network devices in the environment that will provide a broadest coverage of broadcast services within the environment. The set corresponds to a minimum count of network devices that supports all current broadcast streams by one or more client devices in the environment.

Abstract: Wireless dynamic file exchange is provided by, in response to a triggering network condition occurring, initiating an exchange of a parameter file including non-layer two content via a 802.11 message, such as a Generic Advertisement Service (GAS) message between an access point (AP) and a station (STA) connected to the AP; and in response to determining that the exchange was unsuccessful, terminating a connection between the AP and the STA. The parameter file may be sent over several messages and update the parameters for a new session or an existing session. Devices that do not conform to the updated parameters may be disassociated from the AP and re-connect to receive and implement the updated parameters.

Abstract: Coordinated radio fine time measurement is provided via sending, from a client device, a ranging request to a first radio; receiving a first response sent at a first time from the first radio over a first channel; receiving a second response sent at the first time from a second radio over a second channel; and calculating, based on times of flight for the first response and the second response, a location of the client device relative to the first radio and to the second radio. Coordinated radio fine time measurement is also proved via in response to receiving, at an Access Point (AP), a ranging request from a client device and determining to respond using multiple channels: sending, both at a first time, a first response from a first radio over a first channel a second response from a second radio over a different channel.
