Abstract: The optical receptacle, which is disposed between one or more vertical resonator surface emitting lasers arranged on a substrate and one or more optical transmission bodies to optically couple the vertical resonator surface emitting lasers and end surfaces of the optical transmission bodies, has: a first optical surface on which light emitted from the vertical resonator surface emitting lasers is incident; and a second optical surface for emitting light, which enters the first optical surface and passes through the inside thereof, toward the end surfaces of the optical transmission bodies. The first optical surface is disposed such that a central axis of the first optical surface is inclined with respect to an optical axis of the vertical resonator surface emitting laser or the central axis and the optical axis are parallel to and do not coincide with each other.

Abstract: An optical receptacle includes an optical receptacle main body and a filter. The optical receptacle main body includes a first optical surface, a second optical surface, a third optical surface, and a reflecting surface. The filter includes a first filter that reflects light of a first wavelength and allows light of a second wavelength to pass therethrough, and a second filter that reflects the light of the second wavelength and allows the light of the first wavelength to pass therethrough. The filter is disposed on the optical receptacle main body such that the first filter or the second filter makes intimate contact with the reflecting surface. A second central axis of the second optical surface do not coincide with a light axis of a light-receiving element. A third central axis of the third optical surface do not coincide with a light axis of a light-emitting element.

Abstract: An optical receptacle includes: an optical receptacle body; two supporters which are connected to a respective end of the optical receptacle body, wherein each supporter is connected to one end of the optical receptacle body at a central portion of the respective supporter, and the two supporters face each other with a space therebetween; and four adhesive reservoirs which are disposed at respective four corners of the optical receptacle in plan view, wherein each of the adhesive reservoirs is a through hole or a recess, and the through hole or the recess is surrounded circumferentially by the supporter. The optical receptacle body and the two supporters together have a plane symmetrical shape with respect to a plane parallel to an optical axis of the light emitted from each of the second optical surfaces. The four adhesive reservoirs are disposed plane symmetrically with respect to the plane.

Abstract: This optical receptacle comprises: a first optical surface through which light from a photoelectric conversion element is incident; a second optical surface through which the incident light is emitted to the optical transmitter side; an optical separation part which separates the incident light into monitor light that goes to a detection element and signal light that goes to the optical transmitter; and a third optical surface through which the monitor light is emitted to the detection element side. The securing part secures the optical transmitter such that the signal light from the second optical surface arrives at the end surface of the optical transmitter at a position farther than the focus of the second optical surface. The light flux diameter in the light separation part of the light incident through the second optical surface is smaller than the light flux diameter of the light in the second optical surface.

Abstract: A surface (17d′) facing a photoelectric conversion apparatus is formed on the optical block (3) side, said surface having light from a light emitting element (10) inputted thereto and monitor light outputted therefrom, and a coupling light output surface (12) having coupling light outputted therefrom is formed on the optical housing (4) side, and consequently, the surface (17d′) and the coupling light output surface (12) are simply and highly accurately formed. Then, an optical block (3) and an optical housing (4) are simply and accurately combined by being fitted together by means of fitting sections (21, 24). Adhesion of foreign materials and formation of scratches on the reflecting surface (18) of the optical block (3) are suppressed by covering the reflecting surface (18) with the optical housing (4).

Abstract: In an exemplary configuration, a lens array and a light module using the same include a first lens surface 11 and a second lens surface 12 formed into surface shapes such that by expanding the luminous flux diameter of light as the light travels from the first lens surface 11 toward the second lens surface 12, a light spot on the second lens surface 12 is larger in diameter than a light spot on the first lens surface 11, whereby the effects on optical performance by foreign objects and scratches on the lens surface can be mitigated, the criteria for the outward appearance of the lens surface can therefore be mitigated and the yield rate improved, and costs can be reduced.
