    摘要： An optical scanning apparatus includes a light source, an image forming optical unit, a deflection unit and an optical beam detection unit provided inside a deflection area of the optical beam, the optical beam detection unit receiving the optical beam and generating a synchronizing signal. The optical beam detecting unit includes a unidirectional converging optical unit. This unidirectional converging optical unit is provided on an optical path of the optical beam irradiating the scanned surface for further converging the optical beam in a direction perpendicular to the direction of scanning in addition to the convergence performed by the image forming optical unit, so that the optical beam irradiating a light receiving surface of the optical beam detection unit can be focused in advance of the light-receiving surface of the optical beam detection unit in the above direction. In consequence, the allowable range of a shift of the scanning path of the optical beam caused by the manufacturing errors of the deflection unit and of a shift of an optical axis caused by the fine adjustment errors or strains of the supporting members can be increased. It is thus possible to provide an optical beam scanning apparatus which has a simple configuration and which enables the accuracy with which the position of the optical beam is detected to be improved.

    摘要： A system for automatically adjusting an audio system with a programmable parametric equalizer includes an audio analysis unit that can be connected to the audio unit. The parametric equalizer adjusts the frequency response of the audio system in response to equalizer data stored in the audio system. The audio analysis unit generates various reference signals and applies the reference signals selectively to separate channels of the audio system. A microphone picks up audible output of the audio system as the parametric equalizer corrects it and the audio system outputs the reference signal. The audio analysis unit, by giving directions to a user or by directly programmably addressing the audio system, changes the equalizer data, amplifier gain, polarity of speaker connections and other parameters responsively to the output picked up by the microphone. The audio analysis unit also includes a floppy disk drive to store the results of the adjustments. If the adjustment data is lost, it can be restored from the stored copy made by the audio analysis unit. Through the present invention, a sophisticated audio system can be set up in a short period of time.

    摘要： Disclosed is a variable venturi type carburetor comprising a movable suction piston. The suction piston has a needle entering into a stationary jet. The needle and the jet defines an annular opening through which the fuel is injected into the intake passage formed in the carburetor. The jet is connected to a fuel reservoir via a fuel supply passage. The fuel supply passage is connected to the atmosphere via an air bleed passage. A bubble generating pipe made of sintered metal is disposed in the fuel supply passage at a position in which the air bleed passage opens to the fuel supply passage for creating fine bubbles of air in the fuel.

    摘要： A paper feeder is capable of minimizing abnormal noise produced at a separation pad during paper feed, without reducing the paper feed capability, for use in an image forming apparatus using the same. Buffers are mounted on the separation pad. This arrangement ensures that, when a stick-slip condition occurs between the paper and separation pad during paper feed, and the separation pad is vibrated by the paper, the buffer vibrates so as to dissipate the vibration energy of the separation pad, with the result that the vibration of the separation pad is minimized, thereby to reduce any abnormal noise.
