Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for setting a network node location. The method is applied in a router in a ZigBee network and includes acquiring, by the router, a network parameter of at least one network device in a network connecting to the router; calculating the number of network parameters meeting a predefined threshold condition; mapping the number of the network parameters meeting the predefined threshold condition to corresponding indication information, wherein the indication information indicates deployment performance of the router in the network; and providing the indication information for a user, wherein the indication information is used to instruct the user to set a location for the router in the network.
Abstract:
A multicast information transmission method and device. The method includes sending a delivery traffic indication map (DTIM) beacon frame to a station (STA), where the DTIM beacon frame is used to indicate multicast groups which have multicast information to be sent; and according to an order of a multicast identifier (ID) of the multicast groups which have multicast information to be sent, in preset sending intervals, sending multicast information of the multicast groups which have multicast information to be sent, so that the STA receives multicast information of a multicast group to which the STA belongs in a receiving interval corresponding to the multicast group to which the STA belongs. The technical solutions in the present invention reduce STA resource waste.
Abstract:
A method includes: obtaining, by a transmit end, switching information of a STA, where the switching information includes that the STA switches to a TIM STA or the STA switches to a Non-TIM STA; and sending, by the transmit end, a first message to a receive end, where the first message includes a flag bit, and the flag bit identifies the switching information. According to the embodiments of the present invention, both a STA and an AP can learn switching of a STA working mode, so that correct switching of the STA can be implemented, and the AP can perform correct processing according to a switching situation of the STA.
Abstract:
This application discloses an authentication and association method and system. An access point AP receives an authentication request sent by a station STA that needs to establish a connection to a service device; the AP establishes authentication with the STA; after the STA sends an association request to the service device, the AP receives an authentication result query request sent by the service device, and sends a result of the authentication result query request to the service device, so that the service device determines whether to establish an association with the STA; if the result shows that the STA is authenticated by the AP, the service device can establish an association with the STA; or if the result shows that the STA fails to be authenticated by the AP, the STA cannot establish an association with the service device.
Abstract:
The method includes: sending, by an access point (AP), a multicast association identifier (MID) of a multicast group to a station (STA), where one multicast group has one or more MIDs, and each MID corresponds to one multicast group and a receiving period of a STA in the multicast group; sending, by the AP, a delivery traffic indication map (DTIM) beacon frame to the STA, where the DTIM beacon frame includes the MID and is used for indicating a multicast group that has multicast information to be sent to the STA; and sending, by the AP, the multicast information of the multicast group, where the multicast information carries information about the MID or information associated with the MID, and the multicast information is received by the STA. The technical solutions of the present invention reduce resource waste of a STA.
Abstract:
A multicast packet transmission method and an apparatus relate to the communications field and define how multicast data is sent to stations (STAs) using a multicast association identifier (AID). The method includes allocating, by an access point (AP), a corresponding multicast AID to STAs, where the multicast AID is set in a short media access control (MAC) header of a multicast packet; and sending, by the AP, the multicast packet to at least two STAs, so that the at least two STAs determine, according to the multicast AID, whether the multicast packet is a multicast packet corresponding to the at least two STAs, where the at least two STAs are in a same multicast group.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for transmitting data, a method for receiving data and a device. The transmitting method includes: transmitting, by an STA, characterizing information to an AP, the characterizing information is used to characterize a maximum transmission delay allowed by uplink data to be transmitted by the STA; receiving, by the STA, transmission time that is specified for the STA and returned by the AP within the maximum transmission delay allowed by the uplink data to be transmitted by the STA, wherein the transmission time is within a range of the maximum transmission delay allowed by the uplink data to be transmitted by the STA; and transmitting, by the STA, the uplink data to the AP within the transmission time. Technical solutions of the present invention solve a problem of data transmission in an emergency application scenario, and guarantee requirements placed by emergency data upon transmission delay.
