Abstract: Procedures, mechanisms, methods, and techniques are provided that trigger power saving mode (PSM) functionality in the at least one wireless transmit receive units, group of WTRUs or subset of the group of WTRUs. The trigger may be in response to an application layer request to set one or more predetermined PSM settings, wherein the trigger originates from one or more application servers (APs) directed to a core network by way of an interface such as an SCEF that may be included on a device (e.g., a gateway, computing device, and/or the like) and may be configured for enabling the application server to request enabling and disabling PSM functionality.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for multiple radio access technology (multi-RAT) access mode operation for a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) are disclosed. A WTRU and a network may enable a multi-RAT access mode of operation based on at least one of WTRU subscription, a service agreement of the WTRU, a roaming status of the WTRU, a selected access point name (APN), an Internet protocol (IP) flow class, a subscriber profile identity for the WTRU, requested quality of service, or a proximity indication indicating proximity to a cell supporting multi-RAT access mode. The WTRU may send a capability indication of support of multi-RAT access to a network, wherein the multi-RAT access mode is enabled based on the capability indication. A partial handover of bearers may be performed. In performing the handover, the target cell is determined based on a priority rule.

Abstract: A communication method implemented on a 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) communication network includes providing an attachment between a group member of a communication group and a group application server, detecting a detachment between the group member and the group application server, and reestablishing the attachment by the 3GPP communication network. A Mobility Management Entity (MME) may provide the attachment. A Group Communication Service Enabler Application Server (GCSE AS) or a Multipoint Service (MuSe) functionality may detect the detachment. The attachment may be reestablished according to the MuSe functionality. A group communication bearer may have a first priority level for allocating resources to the group communication bearer, and a second priority level for allocating resources to the non-group communication bearer. The second priority level may be different from the first priority level. Different Quality Control Indexes (QCIs) may be provided to the group communication bearer and the non-group communication bearer.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) operating in an “Onboarding Mode” may search for a network broadcasting Onboarding Capability Information (OCI), then register using onboarding credentials and receive SNPN credentials from the network. The UE may then exit onboarding mode, enter Manual Network Selection or Automatic Network Selection mode, and connect to the SNPN. A UE may also receive from a network a list of PLMNs and SNPNs that are equivalent then, when registering, indicate to the network that a requested slice is not associated with the UE's HPLMN, but is associated with an SNPN. The network may indicate to the UE how the slices of the network map to the slices of the SNPN, and may indicate whether a slice that is offered by the network only partially maps to a slice of the SNPN or HPLMN.

In one embodiment, a wireless communications device may receive, from an access stratum interface, a request access to the receiver chain during a receiving opportunity. The wireless communications device may receive, from the access stratum interface, a second request for a transmitter chain during a transmitting opportunity. The wireless communications device may determine that the transmitter chain is available during the transmitting opportunity. The wireless communications device may send a second response indicating access is granted to enable the access stratum interface to transmit an uplink transmission during the transmitting opportunity.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described herein to address issues at the MAC layer resulting from potential Listen-Before-Talk (LBT) failures and delayed transmission. For example, a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may monitor a plurality of TX resource pools within a sidelink bandwidth part (BWP) for LBT events. The WTRU may cause, based on determining that an LBT failure has occurred, a corrective action associated with a sidelink MAC procedure. The WTRU may determine, based on the LBT failure, that a total number or consecutive number of detected LBT failures for one of the monitored TX resource pools exceeds a threshold, indicating a consistent LBT failure. The WTRU may, based on the consistent LBT failure, send an indication of the consistent LBT failure for the TX resource pool to peer WTRUs. and an indication of the consistent LBT failure for the TX resource pool to a serving cell.
