Abstract:
A method for operating a tank for reducing agent, in particular aqueous urea solution, having a sensor with a first electrical contact and a second electrical contact, includes initially determining a conductance value for liquid reducing agent, a conductance value for frozen reducing agent and a conductance value for air in steps a.1) to a.3. A voltage is then applied between the first electrical contact and the second electrical contact in step b. A conductance value between the first electrical contact and the second electrical contact is then determined in step c. The conductance value determined in step c) is then compared to the conductance values determined in steps a.1) to a.3) and a determination is made as to if liquid reducing agent, frozen reducing agent, or air is present in step d). A motor vehicle in which the method is carried out, is also provided.
Abstract:
A device for treating exhaust gas containing soot particles includes at least one ionization element for ionizing soot particles, at least one filter element having at least one section to which an electrical potential can be applied, and at least one flow-directing device. The flow-directing device can influence a flow of the exhaust gases in such a way that the soot particles can be prevented from being deposited on at least one electric insulation of the ionization element or of the filter element or can be removed therefrom. Soot particles are therefore effectively prevented from being deposited on electric insulation of exhaust gas cleaning components, thereby preventing short-circuits from being produced and permitting exhaust gas systems to be safely operated.
Abstract:
An SCR system includes at least one reducing agent tank, a filter, a feed device and a reducing agent line for feeding and conducting a reducing agent. At least one compensation element has a volume through which the reducing agent flows and is suitable for varying the volume as a function of a reducing agent pressure. A motor vehicle having an SCR system is also provided.
Abstract:
An electrically heatable honeycomb body is formed with at least one wound stack of sheet-metal foils. A first end of the stack is connected to an electrical terminal and a second end is connected to an electrical ground. The stack has a plurality of sheet-metal foils which are in electrical contact with one another and which are at least partially structured and determine, in the direction of the structures, a height of the stack. The stack has at least one curvature with a small radius of curvature and a relatively large radius of curvature. A curvature section including the at least one curvature has at least one zone with increased electrical resistance starting from the small radius of curvature and extending over part of the height of the stack. A motor vehicle having at least one honeycomb body, is also provided.
Abstract:
A configuration contains a first honeycomb body, which is formed by at least one convoluted or wound stack and has a plurality of channels allowing a flow, wherein a first end of the stack is connected to an electric connection and a second end is connected to an electric ground. The stack contains a plurality of sheet metal foils in electric contact with each other, the foils being structured at least in some regions. At the same time, the honeycomb body has support pins for connecting to a second honeycomb body, the pins have a distance of at least 25 mm from each other along the course of the stack at least outside an inner region. A method introduces support pins into the honeycomb body and a device receives a honeycomb body and/or for positioning support pins. The device enables the installation of the support pins in the honeycomb body.
