    摘要： Simulating film grain in an encoded image occurs by extracting the film grain and then characterizing the film grain for encoding in a video stream to enable the film grain restoration upon decoding. Typically, the film grain is characterized based either on the type of film, or by using a particular model. In practice, the film grain particulars are transmitted as parallel information to the video coded stream, typically as a film grain Supplemental Enhancement Information (SEI) message when using the ITU T H.264 video coding standard.

    摘要： According to a general aspect, a decoded picture is removed from memory based on dependency information that describes one or more inter-view dependency relationships for the picture. Implementations may also include accessing a picture from a first view and the dependency information. The dependency information may describe one or more inter-view dependency relationships for the picture from the first view. The picture from the first view may be decoded to produce the decoded picture. The decoded picture may be stored in memory. One application area involves removing pictures from a decoded picture buffer when such pictures are no longer needed as a reference picture.

Upon detecting an error in the form of a picture (FIG. 1) a co-located macro block is found previously transmitted picture. The motion vector for that co-local macro block is determined (FIG. 2). The identified macro block is predicted by motion compensating data from a second previously transmitted picture in accordance with the motion vector determined for the co-located macro block (FIG. 3).
