摘要: Apparatus, systems, and methods are provided for deploying an implantable device, such as a stent, within a lumen of a body of a patient. The delivery device may include an inner member and an outer sheath surrounding a distal portion of the inner member and configured to retain the implantable device sheathed near the distal end of the outer sheath until deployment. The outer sheath is slidably moveable relative to the inner member such that proximal movement of the outer sheath relative to the inner member deploys the implantable device. A trigger assembly of the delivery device can include an internal connector coupled to the outer sheath, a plurality of triggers, and a floater coupling two of the triggers. The triggers are serially retracted to deploy the stent. A panchor secures the stent against proximal and distal movement relative to the inner member during deployment.

摘要: An inflation syringe having an improved display and method of displaying pressurization information. More particularly, the present invention relates to methods and apparatuses for providing both numeric and non-numeric indications of an inflation pressurization associated with an inflation syringe. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a progressive non-numeric display is provided for displaying the pressurization of the inflation syringe along with numeric indicators of the pressurization. The progressive display includes a plurality of indicia corresponding to a range of inflation pressurization values. The indicia are actuated to indicate inflation pressurization and to allow the practitioner to not only easily monitor the general intensity of the pressurization but to monitor changes in the pressurization without needing to interpret numerical values. This permits the user to ascertain the relationship between the current pressurization, desired pressurization, and the rate of pressurization.

摘要: The present invention relates to a primer bulb for use with a contrast media delivery system. The contrast media delivery system is configured to facilitate the intravenous delivery of contrast media from a contrast media reservoir to a patient. The primer bulb is configured to facilitate the flow of contrast media from the contrast media reservoir. The primer bulb is compressed by the user to create a head of pressure above the contrast media in the contrast media reservoir. The head of pressure overcomes the surface tension of the contrast media while drawing contrast media into the length of tubing positioned between the primer bulb and the contrast media reservoir.

摘要: The present invention is directed towards a side port for an introducer sheath which precludes the inadvertent excursion a guide wire (or other article or material) through a side port while advancing through the main lumen of an introducer sheath. To prevent inadvertent excursions of a guide wire, the introducer sheath has one or more non-circular side ports. The non-circular component of the side port has a minimum transverse dimension that is smaller than the diameter of the guide wire to be introduced through the lumen of the introducer sheath. Therefore, the small diameter of the non-circular component of the side port prevents a guide wire from inadvertently entering the side port.

摘要: A novel catheter apparatus for use in delivering an anesthetic agent or other fluid medicament to the portion of subcutaneous tissue through which a catheter device has been inserted into a patient, thereby allowing the catheter device to be retracted without causing pain or discomfort to the patient. The catheter device has an indwelling cannula adapted for insertion through subcutaneous tissue into a patient's body. A cylindrical sheath is placed on the cannula so as to be positioned within the subcutaneous tissue once the cannula has been inserted into the body. The cylindrical sheath has formed therein a lumen into which the anesthetic agent or other fluid medicament can be delivered via a hub that is disposed on the catheter apparatus. The cylindrical sheath has formed therein a plurality of one-way slit valves. The one-way slit valves permit the anesthetic agent or fluid medicament to be delivered to the surrounding subcutaneous tissue, and also prevent any bodily fluids from entering the lumen. In one embodiment the cylindrical sheath is permanently mounted to the cannula. In another embodiment the cylindrical sheath is detachably mountable to the cannula. In yet another embodiment, the lumen is formed within the outer wall of the cannula and the one-way slits are formed through the outer wall.
